(10/06 14:03:44) Chat.log started...
(10/06 14:04:19) GoMeDoobes: Alright then! Welcome to October's All Guilds Meeting!
[Applause]
(10/06 14:04:37) DimensionTravelerCalum: w00t for the meet!
(10/06 14:04:44) GoMeDoobes: We've got a lot in store for you today. :)
(10/06 14:04:56) GoMeDoobes: Before we start the meeting, I wanted to say a few words about someone you all know.
(10/06 14:05:06) GoMeDoobes: If you haven't heard yet, Leonardo has decided to step down as moderator of the All Guilds Meeting. He chose this not because of any ill will towards anyone or anything...he simply felt it was time to move on to other things.
(10/06 14:05:18) GoMeDoobes: Don't worry though, he hasn't left completely. You'll still see him in the cavern on occasion, like now.
(10/06 14:05:36) GoMeDoobes: And for that, I am glad.
(10/06 14:05:44) Tai'lahr: We all are!
(10/06 14:05:47) DimensionTravelerCalum: i think we alla re, doobes
(10/06 14:05:48) GoMeDoobes: Leo has been one of the driving forces of this community of Myst and URU faithful for years now, not only with the AGM, but elsewhere. He is a perfect example of what makes this place great.
(10/06 14:06:01) Tai'lahr: Amen
(10/06 14:06:04) GoMeDoobes: He was one of the more beloved Guild Masters of the Guild of Messengers and, to be honest, one of the inspirations for me signing up for the job. He has done much to make working at the Guild as fun and exciting as it is and works equally hard at maintaining our site and rel.to.
(10/06 14:06:05) DimensionTravelerCalum: *nods*
(10/06 14:06:20) janaba: Many thanks to our Leo!!!
(10/06 14:06:22) janaba cheers
(10/06 14:06:26) GoMeDoobes: He is also largely responsible for keeping the AGM going and thus keeping the community well-informed on the latest news in and out of the cavern. He has set the moderator bar very high and I would be happy if I can even do half the wonderful job he has done.
(10/06 14:06:28) Iami claps her hands
(10/06 14:06:29) GoMe Lyrositor: Hear, hear!
(10/06 14:06:49) GoMeDoobes: Leo...you're a good person and a good friend. Know that this community has appreciated every single thing you have done for it and will hopefully continue to do.
(10/06 14:06:58) DimensionTravelerCalum claps his hands
(10/06 14:06:58) DimensionTravelerCalum: three cheers for leo! :)
(10/06 14:06:59) GoMeDoobes: Please join me in a BIG round of applause for the one...the only...Leonardo!
[Applause]
(10/06 14:07:11) GoMeLeonardo: Thank you everyone :) I'm happy to be part of THIS wonderful community
(10/06 14:07:16) GoMeLeonardo thanks you
(10/06 14:07:18) Tai'lahr: Awesome job, Leo!
(10/06 14:07:19) GoMeDoobes: Take a bow, Leo! :)
(10/06 14:07:19) Jogi.de claps his hands
(10/06 14:07:25) ahlisendar leans left
(10/06 14:07:26) GoMeLeonardo bows
(10/06 14:07:32) Tai'lahr: On the stage!
(10/06 14:07:35) Iami cheers
(10/06 14:07:39) GoMeLeonardo: oh XD
(10/06 14:07:48) GoMeLeonardo: hey everyone :D
[Applause]
(10/06 14:08:13) GoMeLeonardo: thank you all for inspiring me for all this time :)
(10/06 14:08:15) ahlisendar cheers so loudly that his lung goes flying out...
(10/06 14:08:23) Tai'lahr: Thank you for all your hard work, Leo.
(10/06 14:08:35) janaba: yeah that!!!
(10/06 14:08:40) GoMeLeonardo: this is wonderful :) thanks again
(10/06 14:08:50) ahlisendar: You have done such a good job that even angry Rhinos bow down to you
(10/06 14:08:54) GoMeDoobes: We love ya, big guy!
(10/06 14:09:01) GoMeLeonardo bows
[Applause]
(10/06 14:09:09) GoMe Lyrositor: Go! Me! Leo!
(10/06 14:09:24) janaba: many hugs and kisses to our Leo :-))
(10/06 14:09:33) GoMeLeonardo: And now, let's go on. With the new Official Moderator of the All Guilds Meeting: Doobes!
(10/06 14:09:40) GoMeDoobes blushes
[Applause]
(10/06 14:09:44) GoMe Lyrositor: Go Doobes!
(10/06 14:09:45) GoMeDoobes bows
(10/06 14:09:48) janaba: Yeah!!! Doobie!!!
(10/06 14:09:54) GoMeDoobes: Thank you Leo!
(10/06 14:09:57) GoMeLeonardo: :)
(10/06 14:10:05) GoMeDoobes: Now then!
(10/06 14:10:21) GoMeDoobes: FYI, the last *regular* broadcast of Radio KTDN is going on right now, hosted by Lord Chaos. You can tune in right now at http://radioktdn.zapto.org:8025/.
(10/06 14:10:30) DimensionTravelerCalum: it's great music :)
(10/06 14:10:31) GoMeDoobes: He still plans to have special event broadcasts at some point soon though, so keep an eye out for that.
(10/06 14:10:41) GoMeDoobes: Many thanks to him for all the entertainment...past, present AND future!
(10/06 14:10:53) GoMe'Max turns up his hearing-aid ...
(10/06 14:10:57) GoMeDoobes: And now finally...our first presenter:
(10/06 14:11:13) GoMeDoobes: He's got a little news for us...for the creation that standing here among us.
(10/06 14:11:19) GoMeDoobes: Please welcome LYROSITOR!
[Applause]
(10/06 14:11:50) GoMe Lyrositor: Salutations everyone. This won't be a very long one for me either, though a bit more substantial than last time.
(10/06 14:12:09) JWPlatt thinks he hears ticking, knocks on Lyrobot, listens for an echo.
(10/06 14:12:10) GoMe Lyrositor: First of all, the object of my presence here, Lyrobot, has been upgraded today.
(10/06 14:12:19) GoMe Lyrositor: Hello Lyrobot.
(10/06 14:12:19) Lyrobot: Shorah fellow cave-dweller. How are your mitochondria faring?
(10/06 14:12:25) DimensionTravelerCalum: lol,
(10/06 14:12:27) GoMeDoobes laughs
(10/06 14:12:31) DimensionTravelerCalum: fine lyrobot,
(10/06 14:12:32) GoMe Lyrositor: Very well. He can now page in a lot more avatars and control them.
(10/06 14:12:48) GoMe Lyrositor: These include DRC members like Kodama and Blake.
(10/06 14:12:59) GoMe Lyrositor: You can then make them walk around, dance, laugh, leanleft, and so on.
(10/06 14:13:11) GoMe Lyrositor: Also, you can now link him to a lot of new Ages - including a bahro cave.
(10/06 14:13:35) GoMe Lyrositor: He has a new telport function which will warp you to a specific point within an Age (sort of like xwarp).
(10/06 14:13:51) GoMe Lyrositor: And you can now choose by how much you grow or shrink with an optional size modifier.
(10/06 14:14:01) GoMe Lyrositor: That's essentially it for this update.
(10/06 14:14:07) GoMe Lyrositor: Secondly, a reminder.
(10/06 14:14:18) GoMe Lyrositor: A lot of people send Lyrobot some pictures and text.
(10/06 14:14:39) GoMe Lyrositor: Please, don't do this. It just makes Lyrobot's vault more packed, and he can't read what is said in those messages anyway.
(10/06 14:14:49) Tai'lahr snickers.
(10/06 14:14:49) GoMe'Max: Naughty Pictures?
(10/06 14:14:54) GoMeDoobes: O_O
(10/06 14:14:56) GoMe Lyrositor: Of course, you can still send him marker games, and they will show up on his marker game repository.
(10/06 14:15:04) GoMe Lyrositor: No, no, just ordinary pics.
(10/06 14:15:04) ahlisendar: Like the one I sent...
(10/06 14:15:13) GoMeDoobes: So no love letters for the bot. Hehehe.
(10/06 14:15:26) GoMe Lyrositor: He has no artistic apreciation, either, so...
(10/06 14:15:34) GoMe Lyrositor: Anyway, that's it for me. Any questions?
(10/06 14:15:40) GoMeDoobes: (PM me if you do)
(10/06 14:16:00) GoMeDoobes: I've got nothing in the queue. Anyone?
(10/06 14:16:09) DimensionTravelerCalum: ive got nothin. :P
(10/06 14:16:14) GoMe Lyrositor: Well, if there aren't any, I'll be leaving the stage to others. See you next month!
[Applause]
(10/06 14:16:47) janaba: awesome stuff, Lyros, thanks for all your hard work and your love for us and Lyrob... :-))
(10/06 14:16:49) janaba cheers
(10/06 14:16:51) GoMe Lyrositor bows
(10/06 14:16:55) GoMeDoobes: Next is a group we haven't seen in awhile, but we're glad to have them back.
(10/06 14:17:10) GoMeDoobes: Welcome to the stage The Guild of Archivists!
[Applause]
(10/06 14:17:34) Alahmnat: Shorah b'shemtee
(10/06 14:17:57) Alahmnat: Wow, lots of folks here, hehe. So, hello from the Guild of Archivists :)
(10/06 14:18:14) Alahmnat: I'm here to make a couple of quick announcements, and then take your questions if you have any.
(10/06 14:18:35) Alahmnat: First, I wanted to announce that we have a new home at a site that's hopefully easier to remember: guildofarchivists.org
(10/06 14:18:51) GoMeLeonardo: Or http://rel.to/goarch
(10/06 14:19:17) Alahmnat: All of the material that was housed on DPWR.NET has been migrated, and I'm working hard on improving the capabilities of the Archive to make it more powerful than ever.
(10/06 14:19:30) Emor D'ni Lap: thanks Alahmnat!
(10/06 14:19:39) Thumbs up from GoMeDoobes
(10/06 14:19:42) Tai'lahr: Great news.
(10/06 14:19:43) DimensionTravelerCalum claps his hands
(10/06 14:20:04) Alahmnat: There's a big job ahead, though. A lot of the material is outdated, or kind of poorly written. I'm looking for some assistance in getting it all up to snuff.
(10/06 14:20:34) Alahmnat: If you know a thing or two about D'ni, the Ages, history, culture, whatever, I could definitely use your help in building the best repository of knowledge we can get.
(10/06 14:20:53) ahlisendar knows a thing or two
(10/06 14:21:00) DimensionTravelerCalum knows a bit ...
(10/06 14:21:20) Alahmnat: And FYI, the best good news about the new site is that registration is now upen again, so if you don't have an account, you can actually join in now :)
(10/06 14:21:24) Raiga Olir knows a fair amount
(10/06 14:21:29) Draaloff: i know a good ammount... and i am good at writing...
(10/06 14:21:30) DimensionTravelerCalum cheers
(10/06 14:21:31) Iami: iami is still a rookie
(10/06 14:21:31) janaba: DPWR net was that already :-)
(10/06 14:21:36) Guild of Sleepers is amazed!
(10/06 14:21:54) Alahmnat: Heh, thanks janaba :)
(10/06 14:22:05) Nevyn looks around for DLT and Anina to see if they're around to help
(10/06 14:22:12) janaba: yw ... :-))
(10/06 14:22:46) Alahmnat: I'm hoping that GoArch can serve as a useful starting place for folks interested in writing their own stories or tying their fan-built Ages into the greater D'ni storyline.
(10/06 14:22:56) GoMeDoobes nods
(10/06 14:23:05) DimensionTravelerCalum thinks that's a good idea
(10/06 14:23:19) Alahmnat: Anyway, that's about all I've got. Does anyone have any questions?
(10/06 14:23:29) GoMeDoobes: I have none in the queue. Anyone have a question?
(10/06 14:23:43) Tai'lahr: I do.
(10/06 14:23:52) GoMeDoobes: Go ahead Tai. :)
(10/06 14:23:52) JWPlatt wants to ask a question...
(10/06 14:23:58) Tai'lahr: If someone wants to sign up to help, can they find information about it on the site?
(10/06 14:23:59) GoMeDoobes: Tai first, then JW.
(10/06 14:24:00) Iami: !/raises hand
(10/06 14:24:15) Iami: I have a question
(10/06 14:24:16) Draaloff: I have a question
(10/06 14:24:17) GoMeDoobes: Iami after JW then.
(10/06 14:24:26) GoMeDoobes: Hang on, we'll get to them. :)
(10/06 14:24:28) Iami wants to ask a question...
(10/06 14:24:52) Alahmnat: If you'd like to help, you can register on the site pretty quickly, you can even log in via Twitter. I'll be banging out some comprehensive guides on what needs doing over the weekend in-between working on features.
(10/06 14:25:17) GoMeDoobes: JW, you're up!
(10/06 14:25:20) JWPlatt: What inspired you to renew your efforts with this?
(10/06 14:25:35) Alahmnat: And I'll be trying to provide tutorials for those less adept at editing in the Archive's particular format, heh :)
(10/06 14:25:49) Tai'lahr: Excellent idea.
(10/06 14:26:22) Alahmnat: I've been wanting to get back into the swing of this for a while actually, JW. I think the kicker was really Blade Lakem's Unwritten RPG, though.
(10/06 14:26:48) janaba: ahhh ...
(10/06 14:26:54) DimensionTravelerCalum nods a bit...
(10/06 14:26:56) GoMeDoobes: Iami, your turn!
(10/06 14:26:59) Iami: Do you need writers, Just info? or technical writers? What are you looking for?
(10/06 14:27:01) Alahmnat: I've been alpha-testing it with him, and as the historical consultant, I've been doing a lot of reference work that's renewed my interest in providing a comprehensive resource for everyone
(10/06 14:27:31) JWPlatt: That's great, thanks.
(10/06 14:27:33) GoMeDoobes: Heh, sorry. Don't mean to flood you with questions, Alahmnat. :P
(10/06 14:28:01) Iami: or just "consultants"?
(10/06 14:28:04) Alahmnat: Iami: I'm looking for a lot of things, really. Editors to review existing articles and make sure they're well-written and conform to the guidelines of the site...
(10/06 14:28:22) Iami: Proofreaders then?
(10/06 14:28:42) Iami: to stay consistant with the historical storyline?
(10/06 14:28:45) Alahmnat: Writers who are knowledgeable in areas of D'ni history, culture, Ages, botany, etc... yeah, proofreaders to some extent, but more than just spellchecking :)
(10/06 14:29:03) Alahmnat: (No worries, Doobes :))
(10/06 14:29:20) GoMeDoobes: Draaloff's turn to ask something!
(10/06 14:29:22) Iami: And how do we contact if inerested?
(10/06 14:29:22) Alahmnat: Experience with canon is always preferred.
(10/06 14:29:48) Draaloff: okay, I wanted to ask about fan made ages
(10/06 14:30:21) Alahmnat: If you're interested in helping, just head to rel.to/goarch, create an account, and post on the forums, or check the list of active projects for somewhere to start.
(10/06 14:30:27) Alahmnat: Go ahead, Draaloff
(10/06 14:31:06) Draaloff: well, is there a building program or something for fan made ages?
(10/06 14:31:26) GoMe Lyrositor: That's off-topic, but yes.
(10/06 14:31:30) GoMeDoobes: Er, that's a bit unrelated, Draaloff.
(10/06 14:31:40) GoMeDoobes: More for OpenUru.org or Guild of Writers, to be honest.
(10/06 14:31:42) Alahmnat: GoArch isn't providing tools for content creation. We're here to serve as a reference for you as you build.
(10/06 14:31:59) Alahmnat: Historical and cultural reference, to be precise.
(10/06 14:32:15) GoMeDoobes: Work fan Ages properly into canon and such.
(10/06 14:32:17) Tai'lahr: So, when you build an age, you can check to make sure you don't break canon.
(10/06 14:32:23) Alahmnat: Correct, Doobes.
(10/06 14:32:28) DimensionTravelerCalum nods
(10/06 14:32:32) DimensionTravelerCalum: seems like a good idea that.
(10/06 14:32:39) Draaloff: i just had to ask, sorry for going off topic
(10/06 14:32:51) GoMeDoobes: No problem. :)
(10/06 14:32:56) janaba: I'd say you post that request to the MOUL forums again ... there are a few great people that come to mind who are not here, maybe they'd feel inspired to contribute to this extensive project :-)
(10/06 14:33:08) GoMeDoobes nods
(10/06 14:33:10) Alahmnat: Speaking pie-in-the-sky for a moment, it'd be neat to collaborate with GoW and OpenUru to lay out more of D'ni.
(10/06 14:33:25) Tai'lahr seconds Janaba's suggestion.
(10/06 14:33:41) GoMeDoobes: I have no more questions in the queue. Anyone else have a question?
(10/06 14:33:54) Alahmnat: I do plan on spreading the word that we're back, I've just been trying to get things in place first so folks have something to do when they visit :)
(10/06 14:34:17) Iami: How do we learn more about the D'ni culture if we read most of whats available in URU?
(10/06 14:34:21) Tai'lahr: If you're not already signed up to OpenUru, you might want to do that, too. : )
(10/06 14:34:26) ahlisendar: en.mystlore.com
(10/06 14:34:45) Alahmnat: MystLore is a good resource, as are the Myst novels
(10/06 14:34:51) GoMeDoobes: Yes.
(10/06 14:35:04) Alahmnat: If you don't have them, I know they're available in at least one eBook store as a "Myst Reader" compendium
(10/06 14:35:18) Iami: I have noted a lot of information is from 2010 and before
(10/06 14:35:28) Iami: in the forums I mean
(10/06 14:35:45) Iami: Is anyone currently monitoring the forums at the GoM?
(10/06 14:35:52) Alahmnat: Yeah, the stuff in the forums was migrated from DPWR, which was kind of... dead for a while.
(10/06 14:36:01) GoMeLeonardo: GoM? GoMe or GoMa?
(10/06 14:36:29) TomVal would like Myst Reader in ePub
(10/06 14:36:32) Alahmnat: (I'm assuming you mean the forums on GoArch, otherwise you may need to specify)
(10/06 14:36:42) GoMeDoobes: Any more questions for Alahmnat?
(10/06 14:36:53) Nevyn: I think they mean GoMa, not GoArch or GoMe....
(10/06 14:37:17) GoMeDoobes: I think that's all for questions. If you have something to ask Alahmnat, PM him directly
(10/06 14:37:25) Alahmnat: I'm not sure what GoMa's status is right now.
(10/06 14:37:47) GoMe Lyrositor: GoMa - MIA?
(10/06 14:37:56) janaba: hey're on hiatus so to speak :-)
(10/06 14:37:57) Alahmnat: I do have to go for Surface duties, but you can find me on GoArch's website, and I'll try to be back down here later today
(10/06 14:38:16) Alahmnat: Thank you :)
(10/06 14:38:17) GoMeDoobes: (http://rel.to/goarch)
[Applause]
(10/06 14:38:28) GoMeLeonardo: thanks Alh
(10/06 14:38:33) janaba: thanks Alalhmnat :-)
(10/06 14:38:38) GoMeDoobes: Thank you GoArch!
(10/06 14:38:50) GoMeDoobes: Moving along...
(10/06 14:38:55) GoMeDoobes: The Guild of Writers is still accepting submissions for their Tre'bivdil stained glass contest. They'll continue to do so until midnight on October 31st, US Pacific time (or 01:00 KI time the next day).
(10/06 14:39:11) GoMeDoobes: All the details are at their forums: http://forum.guildofwriters.org/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=5901
(10/06 14:39:33) GoMeDoobes: Now on to the next group.
(10/06 14:39:41) GoMeDoobes: They're a regular fixture at our meetings...
(10/06 14:39:47) GoMeDoobes: Please welcome OpenUru.org!
[Applause]
(10/06 14:40:11) JWPlatt: Greetings!
(10/06 14:40:19) JWPlatt: I think this is my first AGM in half a year. Great to be here and see all of you.
(10/06 14:40:28) GoMeDoobes: Welcome back, JW.
(10/06 14:40:34) Tai'lahr: Yesh, welcome back.
(10/06 14:40:35) DimensionTravelerCalum: :) welcome back,
(10/06 14:40:40) JWPlatt: OpenUru.org has news about the next update and fan content. Christian Walther will present the update details. Anyone else representing OpenUru.org may also have something to say. I have some words about fan content after all that and then we'll take Q&A.
(10/06 14:40:44) janaba: wb, JW :-))
(10/06 14:40:50) JWPlatt: The update is tentatively scheduled for the first MOULa server reset after next month's AGM. That might be on Monday, November 12 - give or take a day or two because of Veteran's Day in the United States. I remind developers to get in any pending changes by a week prior to that when Cyan will pick up the update for review.
(10/06 14:41:16) JWPlatt: I'd also like to like folks to donate to raise CAVCON! Chances are if you're interested enough to be here today, you have donated, but it's worth a mention here, even if just for the Guild of Messenger chatlog and news posts later.
(10/06 14:41:45) ahlisendar has not donated...
(10/06 14:42:00) JWPlatt: That said, give it up for Christian, the hardest working developer at OpenUru.org!
[Applause]
(10/06 14:42:27) Christian Walther: Alright, I have some updates on what we're doing on the Minkata Shard
(10/06 14:43:10) Christian Walther: We are about to conclude the current cycle of testing contributions that Cyan may pick up at that next update tha JW mentioned
(10/06 14:43:18) Christian Walther: Highlights include:
(10/06 14:43:43) Christian Walther: - Clickables now work while sitting - e.g. seeing people's names or using the KI
(10/06 14:43:55) Christian Walther: - KI pictures are now proper JPEGs
(10/06 14:43:55) DimensionTravelerCalum claps his hands
(10/06 14:43:57) GoMeLeonardo cheers
(10/06 14:43:59) Tai'lahr: Awesome!
(10/06 14:44:00) janaba: great!!! :-))
(10/06 14:44:05) GoMeDoobes: Woooot!
(10/06 14:44:07) DimensionTravelerCalum: yes! no more corrupted ki pics!
(10/06 14:44:19) Christian Walther: - In windowed mode, the mouse can freely move out of the window
(10/06 14:44:29) Christian Walther: - Better-looking mouse cursors
(10/06 14:44:44) DimensionTravelerCalum: (I saw those on minkata already
(10/06 14:44:47) Tai'lahr: Visible in daylight, I hear. : )
(10/06 14:44:52) DimensionTravelerCalum: they look awesome in ahnonay, btw!)
(10/06 14:44:53) Christian Walther: Right
(10/06 14:44:55) janaba: lol
(10/06 14:45:15) DimensionTravelerCalum gives thumbs up for the updated mouse
(10/06 14:45:21) Christian Walther: There should be a small update about moving the mouse out of the window going up later today
(10/06 14:45:54) Christian Walther: We'll give it a few more days, and then we think these things have been tested well enough to be proposed to Cyan
(10/06 14:46:43) Christian Walther: If you still want to give them a try, you are encouraged to have a look at the "Minkata Shard: Contributions under Test" page on the OpenUru.org wiki
(10/06 14:47:05) Christian Walther: What's next after that?
(10/06 14:47:41) Christian Walther: Later this month, we plan to have a big update to avatar physics, written by Skoader.
(10/06 14:47:53) GoMe Lyrositor: Here we go. :)
(10/06 14:47:55) Christian Walther: He basically rewrote the whole thing, achieving big improvements in many areas.
(10/06 14:48:10) GoMeDoobes: O_O
(10/06 14:48:13) JWPlatt likes to kick leaves
(10/06 14:48:20) Christian Walther: Kickables are more kickable - especially these annoying ones in the Teledahn cave
(10/06 14:48:30) Christian Walther: even the leaves in Kadish are kickable again
(10/06 14:48:31) Tai'lahr: Awesome!
(10/06 14:48:32) Iami: ooOOO
(10/06 14:48:36) GoMeLeonardo: YAY
(10/06 14:48:38) janaba: wow!!!!
(10/06 14:48:52) DimensionTravelerCalum: (i accidentally kicked a leaf in kadish the other day. Couldn't repeat it though. 0_0; )
(10/06 14:48:56) DimensionTravelerCalum: (So yay!)
(10/06 14:49:01) janaba: breathing life into Uru
(10/06 14:49:09) GoMe Lyrositor: Excellent.
(10/06 14:49:12) Christian Walther: Jumping is more consistent - apart from just looking better, that makes it easier to lower that bridge in Teledahn
(10/06 14:49:37) Christian Walther: There is no more of that jitter when you ride animated things, e.g. the Er'cana harvester
(10/06 14:49:43) janaba: we should donate you all not Cyan ... sorry ... ahem ... :-)
(10/06 14:49:45) Emor D'ni Lap: Thank you OU!
(10/06 14:49:50) Christian Walther: and more
(10/06 14:49:50) Tai'lahr: Wowsa! That's impressive.
(10/06 14:50:03) janaba: awesome :-)
(10/06 14:50:05) GoMe Lyrositor: Long live Skoader.
(10/06 14:50:09) Christian Walther: However, because it's such an extensive change, we need all the help we can get
(10/06 14:50:13) Tai'lahr: But, they work for free, Jana; Cyan doesn't. lol
(10/06 14:50:16) Christian Walther: to make sure it doesn't break more than it fixes
(10/06 14:50:21) rarified: Janaba: This is a culmination of a lot of groups, stick with CAVCON!
(10/06 14:50:43) janaba: that was exactly my point
(10/06 14:50:49) Iami: what's the CAVECON level today?
(10/06 14:50:55) GoMeDoobes: 2...which is bad. :/
(10/06 14:50:56) Christine: 2
(10/06 14:50:57) Iami: CAVCON
(10/06 14:51:00) GoMe'Max thinks everybody involved should get Free Pizzas
(10/06 14:51:03) Iami: :-(
(10/06 14:51:05) Christine: terrible
(10/06 14:51:08) janaba: Cyan doesn't anything and they do everything... Cyan only pushes the ready stuff up lol
(10/06 14:51:09) DimensionTravelerCalum: agreed
(10/06 14:51:11) Christian Walther: In particular, the collaboration of those with the best knowledge of the details of avatar physics, our skydivers, would be very valuable
(10/06 14:51:20) Iami: Can everyone blog about URU??
(10/06 14:51:21) Dagmont: mmm pizza
(10/06 14:51:25) Iami: would that help?
(10/06 14:51:33) DimensionTravelerCalum: free pizza would be good. XD
(10/06 14:51:35) Iami: Pintrest etc?
(10/06 14:51:47) Christian Walther: It's very likely that the update will affect the glitches that they are fond of exploiting, and maybe introduce new ones
(10/06 14:52:10) Christian Walther: So we'll be sure to keep them busy :)
(10/06 14:52:31) rarified misses Annabelle already
(10/06 14:52:32) Christine: well some one did a fix that keep us from doing some glitches....
(10/06 14:52:35) Christine: sad
(10/06 14:52:45) Christian Walther: We will spread the news via the usual channels (GoMe etc.) when that is ready for testing.
(10/06 14:52:52) janaba: hehe ... Annabelle come back :-)
(10/06 14:52:54) GoMe Lyrositor: Use the skydiver client for glitches.
(10/06 14:53:01) DimensionTravelerCalum: (the skydivers made their own client to undo those fixes, christine, I believe)
(10/06 14:53:08) GoMe Lyrositor: (No, I did it)
(10/06 14:53:10) GoMeDoobes knows the GoMe will be ready to report it
(10/06 14:53:11) Tai'lahr: Something for everybody.
(10/06 14:53:19) DimensionTravelerCalum: (eh....same though...same time)
(10/06 14:53:25) DimensionTravelerCalum: (/shrug)
(10/06 14:53:26) Christian Walther: Yes, I hope Lyrisitor will keep his skydiver client available for those who prefer the old glitches to the new ones
(10/06 14:53:45) JWPlatt: Skydiver client is a cool idea. We have choice because of open source.
(10/06 14:54:10) Christian Walther: They should still help test the new ones though :)
(10/06 14:54:27) Christian Walther: That's all from me, back to JW
(10/06 14:54:37) JWPlatt: Mac? Rarified?
(10/06 14:54:42) janaba: Thanks, Christian :-)
(10/06 14:54:51) JWPlatt: Yes, thanks Christian!
[Applause]
(10/06 14:54:58) Mac: I don't have anything for now, JW
(10/06 14:55:18) rarified: I just want to say how indispensable Christian has been in helping vet and coordinate
(10/06 14:55:30) rarified: updates from the GoW and others back to Minkata
(10/06 14:55:54) Tai'lahr: What did you call him earlier, the hardest working developer?
(10/06 14:56:12) janaba: yeah, he really is :-)
(10/06 14:56:14) rarified: Without him, and perhaps others in the future (!) we can really start to keep up with the new ideas
(10/06 14:56:19) rarified: With him
(10/06 14:56:25) janaba: some people need this :-)
(10/06 14:57:04) rarified: I'll be pushing the Minkata latest update in about the next hour
(10/06 14:57:09) Christian Walther: Don't get too used to my spurt of activity in the last few weeks, I was on vacation then and now I'm back at work and school :)
(10/06 14:57:39) Tai'lahr: It's still appreciated, Christian.
(10/06 14:57:54) janaba: yes, we love you, Christian :-)
(10/06 14:57:56) Christian Walther: You'll be surprised to know that I went back to school voluntarily :)
(10/06 14:57:57) rarified needs a bot to do RL while he does Minkata
(10/06 14:58:06) Tai'lahr laughs
(10/06 14:58:08) JWPlatt: Thanks rarified and, again, Christian! Okay then. On to fan content...
(10/06 14:58:19) janaba: haha, no, I'm not surptised :-)
(10/06 14:58:22) JWPlatt: Just to preface my remarks on fan content: When I use the word "Builders," I include the Guild of Writers and anyone else interested or talented enough to learn about and create any sort of Uru content regardless of their affiliation. Anyone can contribute. But the Guild of Writers is the place to go for the tools and to learn how to create content. There are also some wonderful tutorials from Andy Legate.
(10/06 14:58:54) JWPlatt: If you have followed the Fan Content thread on the MOULa forums, you know the issues. I have summarized the following community concerns in discussions with Cyan:
(10/06 14:59:38) JWPlatt: Builders want their work to be showcased in a dignified space commensurate with their talents. Builders reject nearly en masse the idea of a dual Nexus that segregates fan content. They will not work on it. Builders reject the idea of an age in or near The Great Shaft because of canonical limitations.
(10/06 15:00:11) JWPlatt: Builders want to respect canon. We need the Builders' enthusiasm and cooperation to move things forward much more quickly. It would alienate the remaining talent to create a content solution independently of Builder approval. The Builders are willing to work on the Library idea and are willing to work on the single, existing Nexus.
(10/06 15:00:35) JWPlatt: There is a poll on the forums containing the three nicely summarized options of 1) Nexus only, 2) Library only, and 3) Both Nexus and Library. I believe option 2 is not viable because it requires work from Cyan to install a link to the Library from the Nexus or some other existing Cyan age. That probably would not happen without CAVCON 5.
(10/06 15:01:01) JWPlatt: The reality is Cyan can not do any work for us. Fan content must be entirely developed and supported by the community. And regardless of CAVCON, our donations will go further if we do the work instead of Cyan. Anything that does not require us to wait for or employ Cyan is the superior solution for explorers. My preference is for option 3 because the Library is the most popular choice and we need a way to get there.
(10/06 15:01:31) JWPlatt: In an effort to summarize the Fan Content thread in the forum of a solution, I posted a proposal for implementation. That post is here:
(10/06 15:01:44) JWPlatt: http://mystonline.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=25935
(10/06 15:02:01) JWPlatt: Adam (Hoikas) of the Guild of Writers gave it a decent review, but added he would rather not do both a Nexus and a Library - one or the other, not both. As I've said, I do not believe a stand-alone Library is logistically viable.
(10/06 15:02:27) JWPlatt: That leaves option 1 or 3 and I think introducing only a new Nexus UI as the first new content in MOULa is simply not interesting enough to spur more visitors, more donations to CAVCON, more new ages, and the survival of MOULa. We need a new age to go with the new Nexus UI. That first, new age should by all rights be the space to house all the new fan content to come.
(10/06 15:02:58) JWPlatt: I believe the "Explorer Library," as I call it, is the right thing to do and it would require a remodeled Nexus to gain access to it. I believe in a single Nexus solution with a new "Explorer Ages" tab. I think the Builders were right about that. It's more elegant, workable, and respectful and makes more game play sense.
(10/06 15:03:16) JWPlatt: However, a single Nexus solution requires fan access to the source model and code so that it fits Cyan's requirement that all fan content be fan developed and supported without Cyan's help except to install it on MOULa. That is part of my ongoing discussions. There has been progress.
(10/06 15:03:39) JWPlatt: RAWA believes my proposal meets his concerns from his design and storyline perspective. Cyan has been supportive throughout the shifting ideas and proposals, but we are not done with discussions. Not everyone has not weighed in yet, but I hope to get there soon.
(10/06 15:04:06) JWPlatt: Correction: Not everyone has...
(10/06 15:04:17) Guild of Sleepers: So hope we all
(10/06 15:04:21) DimensionTravelerCalum nods
(10/06 15:04:27) JWPlatt: The content business brings up licensing and as I predicted, it is beginning to require license attention in my discussions with Cyan. That's a good thing because then there's a purpose to spend time on a solution to a situation that is not purely hypothetical. It is therefore not a waste of time.
(10/06 15:04:50) Tai'lahr: awesome
(10/06 15:04:57) JWPlatt: The reason I mention this is that the ball is in our court at OpenUru.org to produce something Cyan can use to license any content they or the community releases for use on the Cyan Worlds Engine. Time and help is a big factor. We have had several people volunteer to help either with creating license text or as a community licensing representative to OpenUru.org.
(10/06 15:05:15) JWPlatt: These positions don't last more than a few days after people realize the amount of time and effort involved and something comes up. So the work falls back on us and it takes that much longer. It is an exploratory process because we're charting new ground.
(10/06 15:05:35) JWPlatt: So, yes, we need volunteers, but we need them to commit and to be sure they have the time and energy even if the job description is a little vague.
(10/06 15:05:52) JWPlatt: (almost done now).
(10/06 15:05:59) JWPlatt: It's like the scene in Aliens where Ripley asks, "What can I do?" And the Sergeant replies, "I don't know. What *can* you do?" Ripley gets in a loader and drives the thing around. It's just like that.
(10/06 15:06:22) JWPlatt: Except we're not on a time schedule - we're on a relative task schedule where the next thing only happens after the previous thing is done. We at OpenUru.org have been meaning for a long while to produce a list of positions and their descriptions to encourage people to join in the effort.
(10/06 15:06:36) JWPlatt: We haven't gotten to it because even that takes time that's hard to come by in real life matters. So if you see a need, and you have the time, feel free to insert yourself in a position you can handle. That's at the core of OpenUru.org.
(10/06 15:06:56) JWPlatt: That's all, folks! Thank you! We welcome any Q&A.
(10/06 15:07:03) Tai'lahr: ( Co-opt the GoMe's motto. )
(10/06 15:07:03) DimensionTravelerCalum: :)
(10/06 15:07:03) GoMeDoobes: Alien had a question.
(10/06 15:07:16) Alien 3:16: If those of us who make fan made shirts want them added to MOULa, do we submit them to you guys at OpenUru?
(10/06 15:07:24) DimensionTravelerCalum wants to ask a question...
(10/06 15:07:43) janaba: Phew ... great, thank, JW so far :-)
(10/06 15:07:56) Tai'lahr: Yes, great job, JW.
(10/06 15:07:59) JWPlatt: Submitthem to any shard, including OU. But Cyan will probably look to OU testing.
(10/06 15:08:02) Dagmont: When you say library...do you mean opening the locked door to the library on Aegura?
(10/06 15:08:38) JWPlatt: No, a fan-made Library, Dagmont.
(10/06 15:08:41) Alien 3:16: so that was a yes JWP?
(10/06 15:08:47) Adam {Hoikas}: that section of the library is an impossible room. nothing can physically fit inside that space
(10/06 15:08:58) Christian Walther: We don't have a process in place for integrating fan shirts on Minkata, but that can be developed once there's a need for it.
(10/06 15:09:20) Christian Walther: (I don't know how to do it, but I'm sure I could find out by asking the right people)
(10/06 15:09:23) Alien 3:16: there is aneed
(10/06 15:09:35) Alien 3:16: people want new clothing
(10/06 15:09:51) GoMeDoobes: That can be discussed on the OU forums. We need to keep going.
(10/06 15:09:54) GoMeDoobes: Tai you had a question?
(10/06 15:09:59) Christian Walther: I meant need in the sense of people *providing* new shirts
(10/06 15:10:01) EthanEver hasnt changed his clothes in AGES....
(10/06 15:10:15) Christian Walther: Yes, please post on the OU forums, so we can work something out there.
(10/06 15:10:20) Tai'lahr: Yes, if you need a lot of testers right now, will you consider hosting an event to generate interest?
(10/06 15:10:37) Christian Walther: The idea has crossed my mind, but I haven't had a good idea yet.
(10/06 15:10:40) Tai'lahr: I know, Ethan... we can smell you. ; )
(10/06 15:10:42) rarified: Sure. Send me an idea, I'll coordinate/prepare the bunkers
(10/06 15:10:59) JWPlatt: We did that before, Tai', and yu organized part of it! :)
(10/06 15:10:59) Tai'lahr: kk, will do.
(10/06 15:11:03) Tai'lahr leans left
(10/06 15:11:04) GoMeDoobes: Iami had a question.
(10/06 15:11:07) Iami: It seems to me the "CAVCON is the problem..can all members "promote" the joining of URU to those outside of the volcano via social media? ie, Pintrest, Facebook, Private blogs, twitter etc...??? Is it alright to promote URU on our own time without the infringement scare?
(10/06 15:11:12) EthanEver leans right
(10/06 15:11:14) Christian Walther: To be honest, was hoping for your cooperation with that, Tai. You tend to be good at that sort of thing :)
(10/06 15:11:28) Iami: ??
(10/06 15:11:42) Tai'lahr: That's a great idea, lami!
(10/06 15:11:59) Tai'lahr: Okee, we'll get together.
(10/06 15:12:01) Iami: I have to use social media to market my business
(10/06 15:12:14) Tai'lahr: Go for it; tell the world about Uru!
(10/06 15:12:26) Iami: I get 11,000 hits a month with just my husband and I
(10/06 15:12:29) janaba: :-)
(10/06 15:12:34) Mac: I believe CAVCON is a big factor in terms of how much time Cyan is able to invest in supporting MOULa and in accepting updates from the fans.
(10/06 15:12:41) Christian Walther: I don't think there is any infringement problem with it. The more the merrier.
(10/06 15:12:43) Nevyn: @lami: GoMe might have an opening for our social networking manager....
(10/06 15:12:45) Iami: Can you link up the openuru site with these social media?
(10/06 15:12:54) Mac: So promotion by any means seems like a "good thing"
(10/06 15:13:00) rarified: JW already has to some degree
(10/06 15:13:10) Tai'lahr: You need to connect with the Guild of Messengers, lami. They can use your talents.
(10/06 15:13:17) GoMeDoobes nods
(10/06 15:13:32) Iami: I can promote the heck out of it in my own little corner of the world...
(10/06 15:13:45) JWPlatt: Awesome, lami!
(10/06 15:13:48) janaba: cool :-)
(10/06 15:13:50) GoMeDoobes: Good. I'd talk with them and you're welcome to chat with us too, Iami.
(10/06 15:13:52) GoMeDoobes: (GoMe)
(10/06 15:13:54) Emor D'ni Lap: lami, just remind your contacts to DONATE as well!
(10/06 15:13:58) Iami: but everyone else will have to as well
(10/06 15:14:00) GoMeDoobes: DTC, you wanted to ask something?
(10/06 15:14:04) DimensionTravelerCalum: ah yeah,
(10/06 15:14:10) DimensionTravelerCalum: i had a question, but i forgot it...
(10/06 15:14:14) DimensionTravelerCalum: so i'll go with...
(10/06 15:14:14) GoMeDoobes: LOL!
(10/06 15:14:19) Iami: this place is TOO GOOD to let it slip to CAVCON 2!
(10/06 15:14:21) Guild of Sleepers: Promition won't be enough - nice people to await newcomers will be needed too
(10/06 15:14:38) DimensionTravelerCalum: As a suggestion,
(10/06 15:14:41) DimensionTravelerCalum: rather than a question,
(10/06 15:14:42) Iami: The key is to get them in the door!
(10/06 15:14:47) GoMeDoobes: Go for it Cal.
(10/06 15:14:50) DimensionTravelerCalum: i remember that athere is a book model outside of the library,
(10/06 15:14:58) Iami: They will love it when they see what URU has to offer
(10/06 15:14:59) DimensionTravelerCalum: currently, it leads to teledahn, and is disabled,
(10/06 15:15:01) JWPlatt: We probably need to be reminded of that more often than not, GoS, thanks.
(10/06 15:15:08) GoMe Lyrositor: (It's enabled in the FH)
(10/06 15:15:17) DimensionTravelerCalum: (I know, but normally it's not)
(10/06 15:15:22) DimensionTravelerCalum: so, i was thinking,
(10/06 15:15:26) DimensionTravelerCalum: if we get a fan age library only,
(10/06 15:15:34) DimensionTravelerCalum: we could activate that pedistal and change the link,
(10/06 15:15:43) JWPlatt: That requqires work from Cyan.
(10/06 15:15:47) DimensionTravelerCalum: ...but yeah...lemme see if i can remember that question.
(10/06 15:16:07) janaba: omg
(10/06 15:16:07) DimensionTravelerCalum: well, if the modelas updated in OU first, maybe just copy the files?
(10/06 15:16:09) Christian Walther: I don't think we can change the link without a licence from Cyan, but we could probably just place a new book there. Good idea, anyway.
(10/06 15:16:23) DimensionTravelerCalum: idk, i'm just rambling since i forgot >_<;
(10/06 15:16:29) DimensionTravelerCalum: next person can go. i'm done.
(10/06 15:17:14) GoMeDoobes: Raiga Olir is next.
(10/06 15:17:17) JWPlatt: Did we miss something?
(10/06 15:17:25) Raiga Olir: Thes fan age library, will it be based in the cavern, or a separate age?
(10/06 15:17:30) Raiga Olir: *this
(10/06 15:17:43) Christian Walther: It must be in a separate age, because otherwise we couldn't link to cavern locations from it
(10/06 15:17:54) Christian Walther: (as per D'ni rules, not OOC technical ones)
(10/06 15:17:56) Mac: For reasons of cana on linking, it to be outside of the cavern
(10/06 15:18:08) Mac: *canon*
(10/06 15:18:23) Raiga Olir: And could we access parts of the age other than the library?
(10/06 15:18:38) GoMeDoobes: Depends on what is built.
(10/06 15:18:41) Christian Walther: That's up to who makes the library.
(10/06 15:18:49) Tai'lahr: That's up to the builder.
(10/06 15:18:58) Raiga Olir: Ok. Thanks for the info
(10/06 15:19:07) GoMeDoobes: I have no more questions. Anyone else?
(10/06 15:19:13) Iami: Is there an easier download to URU? I got my brother to join at the URU Myst Online site, but he had trouble creating an account plus fileplanet that is "reccommended" is not receiving anymore updates...can you fix this or re-direct folks to another site to download URU and the login account??
(10/06 15:19:26) DimensionTravelerCalum: i still cant remember my question
(10/06 15:19:30) Christian Walther: Mac, that's for you I guess
(10/06 15:19:46) Iami: If I'm going to promote this, Ill want easy access to not lose interest
(10/06 15:19:57) Mac: Well, I've already mentioned the situation with FilePlanet to Chogon
(10/06 15:19:58) Iami: K
(10/06 15:20:25) Mac: Last time I looked it was still serving the download though.
(10/06 15:20:26) janaba: :-)
(10/06 15:20:28) DimensionTravelerCalum: hehe... ^u^
(10/06 15:20:42) GoMeDoobes: Anyone else?
(10/06 15:21:10) GoMeDoobes: Ah well. If you have questions for our persenters, you can PM them directly after they leave the stage.
(10/06 15:21:22) Christian Walther: Alright, thanks for listening
[Applause]
(10/06 15:21:25) Mac: It's really up to Cyan to keep those download links up to date: They need to maintain the "play" page on the MOUL website.
(10/06 15:21:47) Emor D'ni Lap: Wonderful list of updates from OpenURU and the Writers!
(10/06 15:21:51) rarified: I'll look into whether the Foundry (OU) can host a copy of the MOULa client. Hows that?
(10/06 15:21:52) janaba: that was a lot, thanks all for your dedication :-)
(10/06 15:22:35) GoMeDoobes: Thank you OpenUru.org!
(10/06 15:22:44) GoMeDoobes: One more announcement:
(10/06 15:22:48) GoMeDoobes: The Guild of Instructors is going to be teaching a new round of D'ni Language 101, with the first class on October 8th, at both 09:00 and 23:00 KI times and taught by shokhootahn Rehn.
(10/06 15:23:02) GoMeDoobes: After that, classes will be held every Monday for the next six weeks in the Guild of Instructors' Hood. If you're interested in learning to write and speak D'ni, check it out!
(10/06 15:23:05) Tai'lahr: Awesome!
(10/06 15:23:18) janaba: and don't be too afraid to leave a little to do for Cyan, they won't die of it, believe me :-))
(10/06 15:23:20) Tai'lahr: Rehn is a great teacher!
(10/06 15:23:20) DimensionTravelerCalum: cool. :)
(10/06 15:24:58) GoMeDoobes: Well, that just leaves on group left. I think you all know which one.
(10/06 15:25:04) GoMeDoobes: GoMe! FRONT AND CENTER!
[Applause]
(10/06 15:25:31) GoMeDoobes: Well here we are again...the sea of canary yellow. :P
(10/06 15:25:55) GoMeDoobes: We do the usual call for anyone who is interested in joining us to please do so.
(10/06 15:25:57) GoMeDoobes: All are welcome.
(10/06 15:26:06) GoMeDoobes: But this month, we have a big announcement!
(10/06 15:26:19) GoMe'Max: But You'd need to wear Yellow .. right?
(10/06 15:26:42) GoMeDoobes: Alright, for the big news, I turn things over to Ahlisendar!
(10/06 15:27:03) GoMe Lyrositor: *drumroll*
(10/06 15:27:08) GoMeDoobes: :)
(10/06 15:27:10) ahlisendar: Alright, I'll keep this hort because I know this has been a long AGM.
(10/06 15:27:37) ahlisendar: Two months ago, we released the trailer for URU2U, promising an episode in one month.
(10/06 15:27:46) ahlisendar: Well, it has been two months, but...
(10/06 15:27:54) ahlisendar: Episode one is now available!
(10/06 15:28:00) GoMeDoobes cheers
(10/06 15:28:04) DimensionTravelerCalum claps his hands
(10/06 15:28:07) ahlisendar: And at least in my opinion, it is worth the wait.
(10/06 15:28:14) GoMe'Max is amazed!
(10/06 15:28:17) Tai'lahr: w00t!
(10/06 15:28:26) janaba: Yahoo!!!
(10/06 15:28:31) rarified rarified puts on his 3d glasses
(10/06 15:28:33) ahlisendar: As always, you can apply to help be emailing as at video@guildofmessengers.com
(10/06 15:28:51) ahlisendar: The video can be viewed at
(10/06 15:29:04) ahlisendar: bit.ly/Q1EODw
(10/06 15:29:11) ahlisendar: Questions?
(10/06 15:29:20) GoMeDoobes: And all the videos will be at http://www.youtube.com/gomessengers
(10/06 15:29:26) janaba: it's posted on the MOUL forums right?
(10/06 15:29:32) ahlisendar: It will be soon.
(10/06 15:29:36) GoMeDoobes: It will be. There will also be a news post on GoMe.
(10/06 15:29:41) GoMeDoobes: Wanted to announce it here first. ;)
[Applause]
(10/06 15:30:16) GoMeDoobes: We're always looking for new talent. Now that the first ep is out, it should give everyone a feel of what we're doing with this.
(10/06 15:30:34) GoMeDoobes: For this or any other of the GoMe's projects.
(10/06 15:30:47) GoMeDoobes: And you don't have to join the GUild if you don't want. We welcome freelance help. :D
(10/06 15:31:03) GoMeDoobes: Any more questions?
(10/06 15:31:18) ahlisendar: In fact, most of the people who worked on episode one weren't in the guild (actors at least)
(10/06 15:31:18) Tai'lahr: Or, you can join the guild and they won't make you wear the canary yellow shirt. ; )
(10/06 15:31:31) GoMeLeonardo: eheh
(10/06 15:31:41) GoMeDoobes: Yes. I do want to thank all the people that contributed to the first episode. They did a great job!
(10/06 15:31:50) GoMe Lyrositor: IIRC, there was only ahlisendar, Doobes and me for episode 1 who were from the Guild.
(10/06 15:32:06) GoMe Lyrositor: So, don't be scared of the yellow!
(10/06 15:32:10) GoMeDoobes: We hope to see many more join in the fun.
(10/06 15:32:22) GoMeDoobes: Heh, nice one Ly.
(10/06 15:32:26) ahlisendar wishes the emphasize the word "fun"
(10/06 15:32:30) GoMeDoobes: Any of my fellow Messengers have anything to add?
(10/06 15:32:41) GoMe Lyrositor: I'm good.
(10/06 15:33:15) GoMeDoobes: I also want to thank/embarass Nev'yn for his work on Cavern Crier duties. He's a big reason these meetings and other gatherings in the cavern are such hits. :D
(10/06 15:33:19) GoMeDoobes points
(10/06 15:33:19) Iami: what do you do?
(10/06 15:33:25) Tai'lahr claps her hands
(10/06 15:33:27) GoMeDoobes: Hehehe.
(10/06 15:33:28) GoMe Lyrositor: Iami: the guild as a whole?
(10/06 15:33:30) DimensionTravelerCalum claps his hands
(10/06 15:33:43) Iami: the "yellow guys" yes
(10/06 15:33:46) GoMe Lyrositor: We distribute news about the Cavern.
(10/06 15:33:51) GoMeDoobes: In many forms.
(10/06 15:33:51) GoMe Lyrositor: We are the Guild of Messengers.
(10/06 15:33:56) janaba: Nev'yn is the awesomeness without question :-)
(10/06 15:34:02) GoMe Lyrositor: This includes Uru2U - a video news report.
(10/06 15:34:05) GoMeDoobes: http://rel.to/gome for more info.
(10/06 15:34:09) GoMe Lyrositor: The Cavern Post - a magazine.
(10/06 15:34:09) DimensionTravelerCalum: (Seconding that, janaba)
(10/06 15:34:14) ahlisendar: Ahem *report* ahem
(10/06 15:34:20) GoMe Lyrositor: The Cavern Criers - led by Nev'yn.
(10/06 15:34:20) Alien 3:16 starts humming "Here come the men in yellow"
(10/06 15:34:35) GoMe'Max: We .. uh .. provide News .. and uh .. Fun?
(10/06 15:34:40) Iami: "URU Myst defenders"
(10/06 15:34:41) DimensionTravelerCalum: news and fun
(10/06 15:34:41) GoMeDoobes: Exactly!
(10/06 15:34:46) DimensionTravelerCalum: what else do you want? XD
(10/06 15:34:50) GoMe Lyrositor: Fabricating facts, falsifying fun, freeing freedom! GoMe!
(10/06 15:34:54) GoMe'Max: PIZZA!
(10/06 15:35:01) DimensionTravelerCalum: pizza~! yes!
(10/06 15:35:05) Tai'lahr: They have a pizza oven.
(10/06 15:35:20) GoMe'Max: Oh .. the Secrets out, huh?
(10/06 15:35:24) Iami: OK, Im in
(10/06 15:35:26) GoMeDoobes nods
(10/06 15:35:27) rarified: Who remembered the bacon?
(10/06 15:35:28) GoMeLeonardo: and we have GoMe Chocolate (tm)!
(10/06 15:35:28) Tai'lahr: lol
(10/06 15:35:33) ahlisendar: Me!
(10/06 15:35:37) Iami: definitly in
(10/06 15:35:38) GoMeDoobes: And Leo will give up his share for anyone who asks. ;)
(10/06 15:35:46) ahlisendar: Bacon strips and bacon strips and bacon strips and...
(10/06 15:35:50) Tai'lahr: Bacon & chocolate pizza!
(10/06 15:35:53) GoMeDoobes: Alright then, anything else?
(10/06 15:36:01) DimensionTravelerCalum: (After event snacks will still be passed out at the cartographers table)
(10/06 15:36:01) Iami: I am so totally IN!
(10/06 15:36:09) GoNG_cjherkeless: 85% of it, roughly
(10/06 15:36:17) Tai'lahr: Greet meeting!
(10/06 15:36:17) Alien 3:16 loves chocolate made from child slaves
(10/06 15:36:37) GoMe'Max: Great .. step forth after the show and sign up Your souls ..
[Applause]
(10/06 15:36:57) GoMeDoobes: Ly, you needed to say something?
(10/06 15:36:59) janaba: yes, indeed, awesome meeting :-)
(10/06 15:37:07) GoMe Lyrositor: Yes, I have a question for the audience - not GoMe related.
(10/06 15:37:08) DimensionTravelerCalum: another great meeting :)
(10/06 15:37:09) GoNG_cjherkeless: actually, it depends on the brand. Hersey's uses a good strong 90% child labor, while others are much farther done wit the free trade
(10/06 15:37:22) GoMe Lyrositor: As you might have noticed, I brought Lyrobot here for this meeting.
(10/06 15:37:30) GoMe Lyrositor: Would you like him back for the next AGM?
(10/06 15:37:33) GoMeDoobes is checking something out
(10/06 15:37:44) Guild of Sleepers shakes her head
(10/06 15:37:48) DimensionTravelerCalum wouldn't mind
(10/06 15:37:49) Alien 3:16: I'd rather he wasn't Lyrositor
(10/06 15:37:52) ahlisendar nods his head
(10/06 15:38:00) Iami: Is that Lyrobot in the hat?
(10/06 15:38:02) Tai'lahr: I thought he was rather well behaved.
(10/06 15:38:03) Christian Walther: He was a bit spammy, but nothing extraordinary
(10/06 15:38:05) ahlisendar: I like not having to use the nexus :)
(10/06 15:38:09) Emor D'ni Lap: he's a bit like a Security bot at stage right there....
(10/06 15:38:09) GoMe Lyrositor: Yes, he's in the corner.
(10/06 15:38:23) GoMe Lyrositor: Why, Alien?
(10/06 15:38:31) Tai'lahr: lol, yeah, he looks like a bouncer standing there.
(10/06 15:38:32) janaba: I'd say he's always welcome here in Uru and everywhere :-)
(10/06 15:38:32) rarified wonders how he enhanced the event?
(10/06 15:38:41) radioflux: yeah, he's a bit spammy
(10/06 15:38:51) GoMe Lyrositor: rarified: He notifies when people link in and out, if that's interesting.
(10/06 15:38:55) Alien 3:16: X joined age chat ... X linked in ... X linked out .... it gets annoying
(10/06 15:38:56) GoMeDoobes: If you can turn off the "linked in/linked out" stuff, he'd be manageable.
(10/06 15:38:56) GoMe Lyrositor: And he provides a web chat relay.
(10/06 15:38:57) Tai'lahr: He logged the chat, and noted who came and went, rarified.
(10/06 15:38:58) Minta: I think he is great
(10/06 15:39:00) Iami: shouldn't he be bigger?
(10/06 15:39:00) Christian Walther: Would be perfect if you could mute him for the event.
(10/06 15:39:05) GoMeLeonardo: (rarified: with Lyrobot here you could follow the AGM on Lyros's website....if you really wanted XD)
(10/06 15:39:09) Iami: like the terminator?
(10/06 15:39:16) Guild of Sleepers: he also notifies sometimes if people switch to PM mode
(10/06 15:39:19) Alien 3:16: and my reply whizzed up the page
(10/06 15:39:22) GoMeDoobes: Alright, if there's nothing else, I'd say this meeting is all done!
(10/06 15:39:31) Tai'lahr cheers
(10/06 15:39:32) Iami: Is he a "spy"?
(10/06 15:39:33) GoMe Lyrositor: I could mute him for certain people, but still have him record everything. Sounds good?
(10/06 15:39:34) radioflux: can he maintain the question queue?
(10/06 15:39:42) GoMeDoobes: Remember to donate to CAVCON when you get a chance. We want those upgrades here!
(10/06 15:39:42) janaba: don't feel sad, Lyrobot, we really love you :-)
(10/06 15:39:44) Iami: "Big Brother"
(10/06 15:39:44) Minta cheers
(10/06 15:39:46) GoMe Lyrositor: He could do a lot of things, including the queue.
(10/06 15:39:54) GoNG_cjherkeless: big Bird?
(10/06 15:39:56) Iami: or just the "fun guy" at the party??
(10/06 15:39:59) DimensionTravelerCalum: lol
(10/06 15:40:01) GoMeDoobes: And now...marvel at Lyrobot!
(10/06 15:40:05) ...Chat.log stopped.
