All Guilds Meeting – February 2017

February is the month of anniversaries and celebrations for the Uru/Myst community, and an All Guilds Meeting helped starting the partying! For those who were unable to attend, we have the raw and cleansed chatlogs ready, along with the usual summary:

Explorer Memorials

Ghaelen D’Lareh (who was also doing a live report of the meeting) was first, with a quick announcement about the Memorials in honor of the explorers who have passed since the Cavern was first opened. They will take place on Tuesday 7th at 11:30 and 18:00 KI time, in the Kahlo Pub in Ae’gura in every shards. Stream at UruTunes. For more info, see the MOULa forums post.

K’veer Ball

Janeerah was next, on behalf of Snickuster, to announce a Ball that will be hold in K’veer on February 18th, from 12:00 to 15:00 KI time. Snick encourages people to dress ‘formally’, challenging the limitations of the Relto wardrobe. Joker will provide the appropriate music. For more info, see the MOULa forums post.

Gehn Shard 5th Anniversary

Hoikas was next, to remind the crowd about the Gehn Shard Anniversary Party, starting right after the Meeting in the Tre’bivdil fan Age. The shard was updated just in time for the Party, fixing the Gahreesen fall to the void, among other bugs.
Explorers will also receive a special, 150-marker 5th Anniversary marker quest, which grants an exclusive reward when completed. The quest both “rewards and punishes you for playing Uru” 😉

UruTunes Android app

dreammaster4 had a quick announcement: to honor the 7th anniversary he made an Android app for UruTunes. More info in the MOULa forums post.

AlanDJ Anniversary Show

To celebrate MO:ULa’s anniversary, AlanDJ prepared a special musical show, starting right after the Meeting in the Ae’gura Plaza, with track by Turjan and Piboc and other electronic and non-electronic music.

Event Organizer Appreciation Party

To honor all the explorers who organize events, Zeke365 will host an Event Organizer Appreciation Party on February 12th at 11:00 KI time in the Cavern Events’ Hood. There will be special guests including Karel, JayRho, Jamie and more, who will talk about how they planned their events.
There will also be two games, Bevin Soccer and a Hood Quest marker game. For more info, see the MOULa forums post.

Ages of Doobes

Doobes stopped by (again!) to give a few updates on all the things he is working on. He’s giving the finishing touches to Tsahvahn Veelay, the Memorial Age, hoping to have it released very soon.
He’s also tirelessly working on his Fan Library Age, which he hopes will be the mean to finally get fan Ages into MO:ULa, in collaboration with the Guild of Writers,, The Open Cave and Cyan. The first Ages to be featured in the library will be the first four that have made it into two of the major shards: Tre’bivdil, Fehnir House, Vothol Gallery and the new GoMe Pub (which will soon be updated), along with Tsahvahn Veelay if it will be ready in time.
To find out more about Doobes’ work, you can visit his website or his Facebook page.

Minkata shard

rarified was back to give a few updates on Minkata, OpenUru.orgs testing shard. He and a few close friends have been working hard to bring things back into a working state. He has started to list progress as they make it in the forums Minkata section.
The first visible change is that they have activated a ‘Beta’ server in parallel with the main testing one (Minkata prime), to be used when something significant and of possibly unknown behavior has to be tested in isolation; it can be erased and reset very rapidly in case things go wrong. The same installation can be used to access either shards, but not both at the same time.
They’re also currently bringing Minkata up to date with the clothing additions that were directly submitted to Cyan and now are on MO:ULa.
He ended with a note of hope, as it looks like things are finally in motion to get fan Ages to (Cyan’s) Cavern.

And that was all for this month! Don’t forget to donate to keep the Cavern open! The next All Guilds Meeting is planned for March, Saturday 4th at 13:00 KI time.

See you next time!
