The Guild of Healers, one of the more regular fixtures in the cavern, has a few pieces of news to share with the community. They are pleased to introduce a new member of the Guild, who will begin leading some of their in-cavern events. Her name is Crystal Dante, and she will begin to survey interest in many types of healing events aligned with her area of healing.
They will also be moving to the Community Nexus section of the OpenUru.org forums while their presence in the MOUL forums for event announcements won't change as they only had been putting out small messages.
The Sunday Meditations and Compassion & Caring Assemblies will continue each 2nd and 4th week. The Guild is also working on a few different storyline ideas for events as well - one of which Crystal will co-guide.
Look for more Healer events in the near future!
Shorah, fellow dwellers of the cavern!
Recently, taniith of the Falling Man Group as begun soliciting input on the future of Mysterium. Although this year's to be held August 3rd - 5th in Seattle is fast approaching, what to do for future Mysteriums (Mysteria?) is still in question. A special section of the Mysterium website has now been dedicated to soliciting input from the larger Myst/Uru community on how to handle Mysteriums in the future.
Here is just a sampling of the info being requested:
- Where and how often should future Mysteriums be held?
- How large/small should Mysterium events be in size?
- Who is interested in being involved in the planning and running of future Mysteriums?
- What style and structure should the planning teams of such future Mysteriums contain?
Although there is perhaps no perfect or "magical" answer to these questions, input from explorers is a vital part of the process at making this great event an even better experience for everyone. So, when you get a chance, please drop by the Mysterium site and let your voice heard!
Here's to the future of Mysterium...Seattle, Spokane, and beyond!!!
Over on the MOULa forums today, Alien has announced a last minute party!:
Eurovision Song Contest 2012
The event will be held in the Central Plazza of Ae'gura on Saturday, May 26th starting @13:00 ki-time.
I know this is a bit short notice, but I thought with Eurovision happening this Saturday, and that we have a lot of European players in MOULa, why not have a Eurovision party in the city !
All you have to do is watch Eurovision and be in the city at the same time. We'll discuss the various entries, dance, and root for our favourites!
For those outside of the EU, Eurovision is an annual contest which has been held since 1956. Utilized by the member countries of the European Broadcasting Union, each country submits a live song performance, which is then voted upon by the other member countries.
This program has become one of the most watched non-sporting events in the world, and has also served as a "launching point" for the careers of many new artists!
So, let's all join our European friends in celebrating this yearly event!!!
After the opening of MOULagain, I started building a series of marker quest games for the entire community to play. I posted a topic about it back in December 2010 and have been slowly building content ever since. It was developed and made for explorers that have completed all the Uru in-game content and enjoy working together in using marker text clues and solving puzzles.
This ambitious undertaking has really been an ongoing project since 2008, when I first Wrote the Age of Planet Dragonia for open source and incorporated the prologue of my story into a series of 12 journals, then creating marker games with the journals' content.
I recently completed the latest quest, Rocks, containing journals six, seven and eight, and I started a new topic in the MOUL forums here for players to discuss the games. I believe I have enough made in the series for explorers to start playing through them. I have also started a small website, Planet Dragonia, to help build interest and support.
I'm open to suggestions and help on getting the word out and organizing the playing of the Quest Series.
