The DMR will be hosting a live interview with Jack Wall, music composer for Myst III: Exile and Myst IV: Revelation on March 16th at 18:00 KI Time! The DMR is accepting questions from explorers, some of which will be selected for the interview. If you have something you've always wanted to ask him, post quickly in this thread!

This marks the second time the DMR has managed to host such an interview, having already talked to Robyn Miller a few weeks ago (we are preparing a transcript of said interview; stay tuned!). But the DMR isn't stopping here! They've already got an interview with Tim Larkin (music composer for Myst V: End of Ages and Uru: Ages Beyond Myst) set up for some time in April; we'll keep you updated. Keep watching this thread in the meantime for information as it becomes available.

The Guild of Archivists and MYSTCommunity are teaming up to host a history-themed fanfiction challenge this February. Further details have yet to be ironed out, but there will be an ongoing discussion about the upcoming event at the thread on the Guild of Archivists' site here.  If anyone is interested, both groups encourage interested parties to join in on the talks.

Just a reminder that the Guild of Writers is still taking submissions for their Tre'bivdil Stained Glass Project!  Anyone is welcome to create a design and send it in for possible inclusion in Gehn shard's various hoods, much like was done for Eder Delin, Eder Tsogal, Gahreesen and the Great Zero in MOUL.  The best three designs will be chosen by a panel of judges from the GoW.

The guidelines for submissions are as follows:

• The image used must be at least 256 by 256 pixels or larger (up to 1024 x 1024).
• There must be two images: one full color image and another set to greyscale for reflection (see the forum post for more details on that)
• The images must be in a "lossless" format.  If you're not sure what to use, the PNG format will suffice.

You can submit your creations to contest@guildofwriters.org by midnight Pacific Daylight Time on October 31st, or 01:00 KI time the next day.  Let's see what this talented community can do!

Submissions will be accepted starting immediately and will continue to be accepted until midnight, October 31st, US Pacific Daylight Time (UTC/GMT - 7) or 01:00 KI time. Our fellow explorer Lyllus has published a new CD album of wonderful music!

The new masterpiece of the D'ni Soulman (as the italian community nicknamed him) is an album of great harmonies, with D'ni influences here and there. The album contains a song with D'ni lyrics (D'ni Lament Song) and also a song for the credits book of a yet-to-be-released Fan Age.

Reading the titles of the songs you may also recognize one with an explicit reference to Myst: The End Is Not Yet Written
