The first day of June...and that means the first All Guilds Meeting of the (unofficial start of) summer! Many presentations this month, which you can read about in both the raw and cleansed chatlogs, as well as this handy summary below:
Zeke365 came up first to talk a bit about his new project, the Cavern Theater, a talent show that can include stories, karaoke, short plays, and more. Anyone is welcome to participate. The first event will be June 21st at 21:00 KI time. Read more about the project here.
I.H.P.X. was next to present for the International Hood, introducing a festival event dubbed D'nipalooza, where they intend to feature several musicians for the purpose of raising funds for the CAVCON. Read more about it at this forum thread if interested.
[NOTE: We were able to recover what was lost in our logs! Special thanks to Christian Walther, Korov'ev, and KathAveara for their help!]
Here's what happened:
Zeke365 spoke about the latest organized events to teach people about the various locations in the cavern and Age and the history that goes along with them. Along with here.r'Tayrtahn and Stone, they will be having th eir final tour of this season on Tuesday, May 7th at 22:00 KI time (with people to start arriving at the top of the Great Stairs in Ae'gura at 21:30). More tours are planned for the fall, as well as one or two that are during more European-friendly times. See more at the MOUL forum thread
A reminder: the deadline for logo submissions for Mysterium 2013 is May 1st! Don't miss your chance to have your work featured on a t-shirt proudly sponsoring everyone's favorite annually-scheduled fan gathering.
A short reminder of image requirements:
- Entries must be high quality (300 DPI minimum for raster images). However, vector images (.svg, .ps, .eps, .ai) are strongly preferred. We will also accept: .png, .pdf
- Please do not submit: .gif, .bmp, .jpg
- Must incorporate The Falling Man logo (link goes to various formats to use).
A rather fiesty crowd at this month's AGM. What seemed like a quick meeting soon grew into a full-sized one..right before the crowd's eyes! Here are the usual raw and cleansed chatlogs for those that missed it.
DTC came to the stage first to mention that HN has been put on hold for the time being for a new project! This will be similar to Spoken Word Night conducted by vid back years ago, specifically 25 and 50. More details, such as date and time, will be released soon, so check the Heritage Night site for more info.
Guild of Messengers
Thinking the meeting would be short, the GoMe went next, introducing to everyone the latest Messenger to join the Guild: Samoth! The Guild also updated everyone on the progress of URU2U's next episode, which is coming along nicely and will hopefully be released before the next AGM. There were also some non-GoMe related announcements: Samoth mentioned the Relto of Ainia, Max talked about the upcoming International Hood, and Lyrositor updated everyone on the status of Lyrobot.
EDIT: April Fool's! Did we get you?
For many years, the Guild of Messengers and the Guild of Writers have existed as distinct entities in the Uru community. Collaboration and communication have always been the key words to describe our relationship, itself based on a foundation of mutual trust and respect. After much thinking and planning, we have decided to take this one step further: we are proud to announce that both guilds are fusing together to form the Guild of Messengers and Writers!
We'll be providing more information about the GoMaW at the AGM, but here are the essential points you need to know right now.Lees meer
