The new method for translating pages and posts is fairly straightforward in WordPress.
First, go to the page you would like to translate. If you have the proper permissions, an “Edit Page” button should be at the very top of the page in your user toolbar.
On the next screen, you should see all the language tabs at the top:
- Spanish (Español)
- German (Deutsch)
- French (Français)
- Russian (Русский)
- Italian (Italiano)
- Japanese (日本語)
Note that the original text will not transfer over, so if you need it for reference, you can copy and paste it by switching between language tabs.
Once your translation is complete, simply click the blue “Update” button on the right sidebar and you’re done!
If you’d like to suggest a language to add, head over to this forum thread.
