For the bloggers' articles, all the ongoing conversations are on the gmail account. All it takes is for someone(ideally the editor) to send them an e-mail to ask for it.

I WAS going to ask about the Blog sites Andros connected with, to see if I could get something from them for the Newsletter. Seems to be under control, but only via the GoMe email account.
That cuts me out of the loop on bloggers.
And Szark, my comment about not moving deadlines didn't mean someone suggested we do that. I was saying GoMe deadlines shouldn't be moved, as in 'it ain't gonna happen' just because some article doesn't get written.

No problem. My bad.
My goal is to get the bloggers accustomed to submitting their monthly articles on their own, this would alleviate the need for constant reminders from a member of the Newspaper staff. I've re-worded our 'we're looking for help' tagline in the newspaper to include article submission deadlinees.
I have created a gmail account called gometheremin, that I use for correspondence concerning the newspaper. Perhaps you might consider doing th same...? The gomenewsletter gmail account can get somewhat confusing with many people using it. As submissions come in, we can direct them to whomever may want to handle them.
I'll try to mangle the latest updates from the GoW into an article of some sort. :) What else, at this point, needs some help?

Thanks Marten. I actually think we're doing OK. We don't have anything for the Science and Travel sections, but I've got a couple of articles yet to come in. If they're in good shape, I'll drop them into this issue, otherwise we can use them in December.
I have also looked at the G-mail account. I deleted my mail that I sent as it has been dealt with.

Plus I like the DLF idea Andros had.
I guess that the best way to think about the DLF column is to think: "If I were a D'ni teacher and I met a new explorer in the cavern and that he wanted me to teach him the D'ni language, what would I teach him on day 1(the November Newspaper) and then day 2(the December Newspaper)." Do not be afraid to have a slow pace because those who will want to learn faster will be directed to the DLF

Just an advice.
For the DLF, your contact could be Gorobay, a very involved member rather that Domaleh, the head of the DLF, who did not reply to my e-mails. The last time I talked to Gorobay about the column he had produced a first draft although I choose to not publish it as a first article from the DLF. But he proved to be someone who is interested in producing the articles.
Anyway, just my 2 cents. ;)

I hope it is ok with you all but I need to take the next 4 days off. I have provided pictures for my Journey bio thingy and started a page for the Christmas Pic comp on Wiki and pasted on what I had already written up. Plus I have provided a pic for that also.
Please when you have a moment can you have a look to see if they would be suitable.

I added the GoMa part of the "MORE News from the guilds" article
and I modified the title of the History article from "The Hall of Great Kings" (which doesn't exist) to "The Temple of the Great King" (building placed under the Guilds Hall)
On the GoMa: I'm not sure this will be in this issue (deadline sake), but GM Dot is planning to set up a contest in writing a test report (in words and/or images), winner will have his/her report in age. Probably too premature, but anyway, keep an eye on her, like you Leo, she's very busy, lol (wow, I admire your devotion! mr. ass. GM :lol: )

'The Team' section on the wiki needs a name for 'Co-Editor'. Unless, we don't need a co-editor OR we don't have anyone left to BE the co-editor.

Do I add 'Co-Editor' as a position that is needed and remove 'Editor'? Theremin is 'The Chief' of editioning. :wink:
This may affect the Census also.
There are 'open positions' listed on the wiki 'The Team' section also not posted in either of the other two places. Does this just mean I am :mrgreen: and not staying caught up to the rest of your ramblings? :twisted:

'The Team' section on the wiki needs a name for 'Co-Editor'.
Al, I edited the section for The Team on both the November and December Isuues. Are they not showing up? Lynnutte is the credited editor for November, and Andros and I are the credited co-editors. (Out of respect for their previous work on the paper.) I won't "officially" :wink: become the Editor until the Holiday issue.

EDIT: is the "Temple of the Great King" article from the GoA? The format is the same of the past GoA articles so it should. Shouldn't that article go to the "Guilds and Groups" section instead of creating a new section just for it?
