Ok, just remember that we are pointing to publishing at the end of February, so there is still time. And also remember that next issue may be in summer XD
Mag artwork........I will assume that you are ok for art work for the next issue as I haven't heard a thing apart from some silliness from Theremin. :D
I don't render many images now as I am mainly concentrating on learning more, faster. As I said to Theremin I am here if you want something in particular. If it is doable within my skill set I am happy to do so. But if I hear nothing I will assume you don't need anything and leave you all to it.
Okay, first I want to apologize for my extended absence. Everything started piling on top of me at once and I barely made it out unsquashed. I can't be around much, but I'm willing to write an article for the magazine if there's still time. Are there any important topics that need to be addressed that I could write about?
Okay, I would schedule the dates. I suggest to take 2 weeks for the first/final drafts ( at least the majority as it might be tight for some people) that is 27 february. As I think we can select photos/pics while proofreading/making drafts, I would say 4/5 March is an realistic publish date (if that is okay with Polgara of course). I think we should already decide on the cover, so Polgara can start with that.
Come on people, wake up, it should be possible to publish that magazine before spring(21 march)
Go Go magazine team! WRITE!! :P
That schedule would be okay for me in the moment.
The title shouldn´t be a problem this time as Theremin already has the illustration from Lyllus.
@LostThyme- I think we'll probably talk about what articles and such we need at the guild meeting, if you're able to attend we can discuss it there.
@Polgara- I've uploaded Lyllus' cover to the photobucket account. He has given us permission to crop it to fit our cover requirements, I'll leave it to your discretion as to how to crop it to make it look the best.
@Lunanne- I wondered who was going to pick up the whip when Lynnutte keft, good job! ;P (Time to get cracking people, you heard the lady!)
Meeep, finished the translation. Do I send it to Theremin by mail like last time or upload it or what else? I apologize for the delay and I still hope I'll be able to provide an actual article by the deadline. Whew!

Go ahead and send it to me like last time, I'm looking forward to it. Will your boyfriend have some possible illustrations this time?
I think you can add it to the Newspaper Production section in the "Guild Business" book. When you reach the page about the Issue 2 click on "Add child page" on the bottom of the page and there you can add your story ![]()
Sent it! He... already drew it, actually, as a doodle between projects. It's not complete, but we'll work on it as soon as you greenlight the story - if this one's not fit for Go!, we'll try something else!
I´ve found something which I think could be a nice supplement - over in the magazin section.
As you may remember, Capella used to be listed as editor for the news paper. I have good news , she is coming back to help us!
So Welcome Back ,Capella . The articles are located here. Go ahead and good luck!
Okay I gave you the badge, but I am sure Leonardo once mentioned that doesn't actually give you the rights. I have looked around a bit and I cannot find the place where I can do that :/ so you'll probably have to wait with actually editing until he comes by and gives you the actual rights.
Done.
The Badges Section is really useless XD To add a badge AND the corresponding rights you can go to Edit on the User page and check the corresponding roles you want to give to the user, then the badge will be added automatically along with the rights
knockknock
there have already been articles added, but they have been mostly ignored. I would like to bring to attention that thtis way we are not going to get a magazine together. I understand real life can be busy but we are so far with this issue we cannot really back off now.
Made some edits on the architectural article and posted some comments...
LOL- OK, I can't figure out how to add the first comment on an article on the Wiki. Did a bit of editing on the Myst Impressions piece.

Right bottom of the article, lef of the "... reads" there is "add new comment".
Once the Comments have been enabled in the Edit page :P
Polgara PMed me asking if I could add the Guild Fair info onto the image of the big GoMe symbol to use for the last page, I believe under Theremins instructions. I did PM Polgara back asking for exact details but I didn't get a reply. So I have gone ahead and made one, shown here http://www.guildofmessengers.com/en/book/last-page Is this what is wanted? If not let me know exactly what is required and I will get it done. But I don't have much time to spare these days so I need an answer by Monday.
Cheers
EDIT: I also engaged all comments for all the pages, which should have been done when the page was made. As Leo said it has to be turned on, it is not automatic.
@ Szark: Sorry for the delay, your page looks good but nevertheless I´ve send you what I had in mind. Don´t know if it will look good or even can be done at all.
I´ve uploaded some tries with the title.
Got your mail Polgara, thanks for that. Yeah I don't have much time on my hands these days hence why I need almost instant feedback.
I think I understand what you are wanting. Being Sunday and day of rest I will get on with it today. I think it is doable but don't quote me on that. LOL Anyways I will report back when I have something to show
Given that the issue still looks short on articles, I've been trying to put together my notes for a couple of academic papers on videogame narrative and seeing how they apply to Myst - as in, why the original game can still be used as an example of brilliant storytelling within the medium (not that I hadn't already used it as an example in the papers themselves, mind you... :p). Riven and Uru both top it from that angle imho, but that could be covered in later issues.
The article might go something like introduction: the game's narrative works well, but why? - a very brief overview of narratologists VS ludologists and what they advocate for storytelling in games --> how Myst fits as a gamey game VS narrative game - generally speaking, an unified theory of good storytelling in games i.e. how to make the player's narrative coincide with the developer's narrative --> practical examples of how Myst gets it right and turns even technical limitations to its advantage - obvious conclusion: hats off to Rand, Robyn & co.
I should be able to finish it by tonight or tomorrow morning... if it's worth it. On a scale from mildly boring to extremely boring, how extremely boring does it sound? XD
What sounds boring? Sorry I dozed off half- :P
It sounds interesitng actually although the title needs to become somewhat shorter.
Whew! Thanks! That wasn't the title (although some of my titles have a tendency of being longer than the actual content...), not even paragraph titles, more like an outline... a title could be something like "Diaries and interactivity: Myst as an effective gaming narrative". Or just "Myst as an effective gaming narrative" or whatever^^
@Polgara I tried to send two e-mails back to you using relpy but both we were returned as undeliverable so I posted the best one in the Wiki.
Szark - wow that was fast.
O sh.. - email is too full again. But one mail made it - it was in the spam with the two pictures.
I´ve send you an answer.

I´ve send you an answer.
Sorry no e-mail yet. Can you copy and paste it here. It would be quicker or better still post a comment on the Wiki. I have turned on comments.
No problem.
I think it´s better now and very close to what I had in mind - thank you for the fast "delivery".
But why have you deleted your first picture? I liked it and with it we´ll have a choice which to take.
Sorry I didn't think you needed it anymore...no problem it is back up there now. I will upload a PDF of that first one if needed...or I could brave it and try to send the full size image to you via e-mail. :D
They are complete different - so I would say the people should make their choice. I´ve done it but will wait what the others say.
Other topic: can anybody please turn on the comment on layout? Don´t know where to do that.
