Really, the best way I know is to reach out to folks who were in Prologue and might have 'em.  There may still be a few photo galleries on the 'net somewhere with images too... if you find 'em, let Leo or me know please, we could add them to rel.to.

Thanks for your responses so far. I checked out both web sites and found a bit there that is helpful, but there still are a great many historic images I'm missing. I am in the process of compiling a list of these illustrations and will post it here as soon as it is ready.

In the meanwhile, if anyone has any other brainwaves (or knows of an Uru "old-timer" that might be willing to talk with me about this), please let me know here.

In the summer of 2002 Cyan invited some explorers to an exclusive beta test called "Choru" (Some time ago the NDA expired and pictures/videos were posted)

Ubiru was a larger closed beta.

Rehearsel, again a larger beta that ended primarily due to "clerical error" after which it is usually reffered to as Prologue. Technically the game was still in beta version during prologue though :P

You may consider asking ghaelen and Ruby for permission to pull screenshots from their CCN footage.  In particular, you'll find live footage that I recorded and narrated myself for Phil's return in "Familiar Voices" in CCN's July 2007 episode.  That will at least cover "Phil and Sharper talk; Phil warns about the coming war" http://www.caverncommunicationsnetwork.com/archives/date/2007/08

Thanks for the suggestions. I'm actually in the home stretch regarding the photos, though still would like to get a few more (I'll have to provide the particulars a bit later as I'm writing from the wrong location to check for sure). janaba1's old stash was wonderfully helpful, so many thanks to you for posting at the Great Tree on my behalf. I've been talking with DimensionTravelerCalum (Cal) about the project and he's agreed to mention the journal at the upcoming Heritage Night events and has suggested that we get it linked to rel.to. You are the person who can help with that, right? I'll go ahead and post a formal request via the rel.to online form in the meanwhile. Details follow:

Here's the latest draft of the journal. The location and file name should be stable, so a rel.to link should work for any future updates. The journal itself is a PDF file, ~25MB in size. I usually include a parenthetical note that the file can be right-clicked and downloaded locally in order to view it like a real book (some browsers don't seem to support this very well when viewing the journal through the browser window via a direct click, probably to do with the inherent resizing behavior to the journal by the browser).

I will keep the option of frame grabs from the videos in my back pocket just in case I can't find stills.

@Ainia: I sent PMs to both Dadguy and Tai. I don't think Mac will be much help...As I recall, he first entered the cavern during the Gametap era. I'm not sure if that's "far enough" back. My knowledge of the various times is "sketchy", as I'm not even close to being done with the MOULa forums. Sorry I'm not more help. I'll also send a message to EthanEver. Let me know if there's anything else I can do.
