I find on the heels of the newest update to MOULa, I have the signifigant duty of providing an important announcement on behalf of the Guild of Messengers. In recent weeks, explorers may have read about many changes that were in store for the guild. The first of which, was seeking of two new Guild Masters to run GoMe's day to day operations. The appointment of those new leaders has arrived, and it is time for us to share with community who they are.
Before I do, I would like to take a moment to thank our previous leaders Leonardo and Luna for all of their hard work over the years. Leo's endeavors brought to the community the All Guilds Meeting, where he still serves as its moderator, helping to build bridges within the community's various groups. Luna's efforts complimented these labors, by reviving GoMe's newsletter, attempting to add for the community an extra element for its members to look forward to. I feel I can say with certainty, the impression of this change noticeable, much like the previous era when Marten stepped down as Guild Master. Although all three will continue be with us as Messengers, gracing us with their thoughts and advice, their hands are not "at the helm" on a daily basis. Taking up these duties will be two new "set of hands", as the Guild of Messengers charts a new course into the waters of the future: Read more
Cyan announced yesterday that the original version of Myst is now available for purchase at the PlayStation Store, for download on PSPs or PS3s! Note however that this isn't realMyst, nor is it Myst: Masterpiece Edition, but the original port to PSOne.
Thanks to the hard work of Christian Walther, rarified and a host of other dedicated individuals, a new set of fixes and additions has been brought to MO:ULa today in the latest build: MO:ULa 1.912! Some new features include copy/paste functionality for the KI, more flexible screen resolution code, KI Time has finally been adjusted to the new standard...and a bucketload of various other fixes!
Over on the MOULa forums today, Alien has announced a last minute party!:
Eurovision Song Contest 2012
The event will be held in the Central Plazza of Ae'gura on Saturday, May 26th starting @13:00 ki-time.
I know this is a bit short notice, but I thought with Eurovision happening this Saturday, and that we have a lot of European players in MOULa, why not have a Eurovision party in the city !
All you have to do is watch Eurovision and be in the city at the same time. We'll discuss the various entries, dance, and root for our favourites!
For those outside of the EU, Eurovision is an annual contest which has been held since 1956. Utilized by the member countries of the European Broadcasting Union, each country submits a live song performance, which is then voted upon by the other member countries.
This program has become one of the most watched non-sporting events in the world, and has also served as a "launching point" for the careers of many new artists!
So, let's all join our European friends in celebrating this yearly event!!!
Every once in a while the Guild of Messengers generates News instead of just reporting about them. This time it may be a shocking one for some of you.
Luna(nne) and I have decided to resign from our positions of Guild Masters for the GoMe.
Unlike what happened in the past for other Guild Masters in other Guilds, our action is not the result of arguments or fights, we are not leaving out of anger or delusion. We are leaving in a peaceful way, we have had a good time as GMs of the Guild and we have happy memories about it. But time has come for us to step back and retire in the shadows of the virtual printing office.
Recently we have felt that we were no longer able to give the right energy to our Guild and we were becoming a weight that was slowing down all the activities and was compromising the possibilities for the future of the GoMe. So, unlike some other GMs, we are choosing to give the opportunity to someone else to use their personal approach to shape the GoMe and give it new energy, before our inactivity starts to be too heavy and bring the rest of the Guild to a dormant state. Hello one and all! Doobes here, fresh out of the cavern and Kirel, and if you haven't been following the weeklong celebration that is ADBMM, you missed one of the signature events...an in-cavern question and answer session with Cyan Worlds, Inc. CEO and Myst co-creator Rand Miller! Just like our usual AGMs held in that particular hood, I bring a raw and cleansed chatlog for those who forgot/couldn't attend/were eaten by the lag.
Rand answered quite a few pre-submitted questions from explorers in the time he had. Some interesting points: Read more
Heather Larkin, a talented freelance artist, has started the very interesting project of drawing the story of The Book of Atrus.
So far she has drawn three Chapters, telling the story of Atrus's childhood with Anna. The drawings are really well done, they are able to communicate the atmosphere and the feelings of the characters, which have very detailed expressions.
She is also putting together a proposal to send to Cyan Worlds to see if they are interested in publishing her work as an official commercial product by Cyan.

The Guild of Messengers website was taken down earlier today for some major design updates. Design changes were first suggested by Lyrositor who has worked with Leonardo on implementing the new look, as well as some behind-the-scenes upgrades. Everything is designed to make navigation easier and to give the website a more organized look. Thanks to Diafero, we can also import the latest news on fan Ages. The anti-spam filter has also been improved. The MOULa status bar has been updated and in addition a set of icons that change with the numbers of CAVCON status has been added to the site.
We hope everyone enjoys the new look and feel of the site!
Shorah everyone! As always, the All Guilds Meeting was held this month in Kirel, with Leonardo returning to moderate, and this one certainly did not disappoint. If you couldn't make it (like myself for a vast majority of it), we have the usual raw and cleansed chatlogs to help you catch up.
A little summary for you:
Annabelle's Marker Quests
Starting things off was regular presenter Annabelle (using her Skydiver avatar), who is celebrating two years since she started making her quests. Her seventh and final release, The Eders, contains games for Gira, Kemo, Delin and Tsogal and will be released on May 19th. She is also creating quests on the Deep Island shard (the one that contains many fan Ages), as well as a mystery third project she's working on that will be revealed in time.
Guild of Sleepers
Alien was next to update everyone on their guild's anniversary party coming up on the May 10th at 10:00 KI time. There will be music featuring some well-known D'niJs, at least one marker game, and a movie and music trivia game.
