New rel.to!!
The Guild of Messengers is proud of presenting the new rel.to Directory!
Ever since it changed owner, from Marten (we thank him very much for the idea and for maintaining it until september 2010) to Leonardo, we had wanted to make some changes to it. It took some time, mostly because of busy Real Lives, but it's finally out and shiny.
Ok, you won't find a completely renewed rel.to, since we liked the old graphics and we kept them. But its heart is all new, we trashed all its files and we rewrote it from scratch for working better.
You will find some new features there:
- You will finally have a real way to contact its maintainers directly, without having to register on the GoMe website. You can use the new contact form and we will try to reply as soon as possible to your questions.
- A statistics page. There you can see which rel.to entries are the most used and which ones have recently been updated.
- The search box finally has a language filter hidden under the "Advanced Options" button, instead of the ugly Language Selector in the Preferences.
- There are a lot of other new features for making rel.to's maintainance a lot easier, but those unfortunately are for admins only XD
- And last but not least, we have switched theme. Rel.to's default theme is not all grey and black, but you can still revert back to the old lilac style from the preferences.

Interview with Rand Miller
Today we had a wonderful Live Chat with Rand Miller on Skype during Mysterium where he replied to a lot of Fans Questions, told us about the state of Cyan and made us laugh a lot; we even got a nice view of his office and his fireplace.

MOUL Avatar Assets
Recently idoodlesoftware inc., an education software company, has signed an exclusive educational licence agreement with Cyan Worlds to bring the Myst Franchise to schools and use them to improve children's way of learning.
This is not the first time something like this was done: Tim Rylands has been using the Myst Games in classrooms for years with wonderful results. But this time there is something more: idoodlesoftware has signed an agreement with the Virginia Aerospace Science and Technology Scholars program to provide them a virtual 3D immersive STEM educational game simulating a Mars colony, and to do this they will use the software of MystOnline:UruLive as a basis.
But what does this have to do with the MOUL Avatar Assets? Well, some of our fellow explorers (Andylegate, Ametist, Corvus, Dustin and Metabasalt) are collaborating in this project of making the simulation game.
Andy has been working closely with Chogon in the making of the Mars Colony project and, as part of the project, he needed to create space suits for avatars, so Cyan provided him all the 3DS Max Assets for it; and now Andy thought it would be a good thing to share those assets with all the Uru community. Andy requested, and obtained, permission from Cyan Worlds to distribute the Avatar Global Clothing 3ds Max files and texture assets.
All the files are being released through the OpenUru group, who also released the CWE Client and MOSS server in April. Read more

Hevkor: a community based dictionary!
Our fellow Explorer Dragossh has recently started to work on a new project for the Myst community, which can be defined at least "much needed".
After all the kind of D'ni/English and English/D'ni dictonaries we saw during the years - some published as stand alone programs, some others integrated in websites but not very easy to use or contribute to - Hevkor (Book of Words, in D'ni) is a D'ni to English and English to D'ni web dictionary with a clear and intuitive interface.
In its current shape (it's still in Beta Testing Phase), it presents a main page with a big Search box where you can type a D'ni or an English word and, if the dictionary knows it, it will show you the corresponding entry with it's translation and possibly a few examples.
It's also possible to Register on the website and start contributing new words, translations and examples. Right now the website is very empty and it needs the work of all the community to be filled with D'ni words.
If you plan to contribute, please remember not to copy the contents from other websites unless you have permission to do so.

All Guilds Meeting
On the first Saturday of each month we hold an All Guilds Meeting in Kirel, where every Group or Guild of the Myst & Uru Community can come and speak to the audience about who they are, their news and all their projects.
We will start gathering in Kirel some hours before the actual Meeting, which is set at 13.00 KiTime.
The event will be done using text chat, not voice, and it will be logged. After the meeting a Messenger will post on the Guild of Messengers Website a Summary of all that happened at the meeting, along with the (Raw and Cleansed) Chat Log.
The event is open to everyone. If you want to speak at Meeting please contact Leonardo (here on this website or on the MOUL Forums).

Public Reading of The Myst Reader
You are invited to the reading of "The Myst Reader" starting with "The book of Ti'ana" in Jakuru's Hood every Monday and Wednesday. Jakuru's Hood will open at about 19:00KITime. Reading starts at 19:30KiTime and end at about 20:15KITime.
We will be broadcasting on Teamspeak. Teamspeak can be downloaded and installed easily by following the instructions below.
If you have any trouble please contact a Jaruku's bevin member for help.
You can also listen using the URU Live in game sound, though the in game sound is not very good.
