Sorry, Leo...I just "assumed" everyone knew the date the cavern re-opened. (Feb 8th, 2010) Was just getting the discussion started for some kind of event. My apologies for not being clearer.
Edit: It occurs to me the title should probably be "Re-opening of the Cavern Party".

@Leo: Tai and I were talking...Do you think it would be "advisable" to move Opening Ceremony back to 11:00 KI-Time? I was just about to send a pm ghaelen with that same question, when I noticed your MOUL post. Any thoughts???
Unless you think the Open Ceremony would last more than 1 hour, no I see no reason to push it further back. But I have no idea what they want to do during the Ceremony.
The AGM will start as usual at 13.00 KiTime.
@Nev'yn: JonathanMyer has submitted a news for the GoG Quiz. Is it ok if we publish it, or do you want to just include it in the Anniversary Party Post?
Oh, by all means, publish it if that works best. I'm fine either way. I'm more of calendar keeper than anything else. I do plan to make up news post for whoever askes me to. I1ve just been a *bit* busy.

PUHLEEZE don't assume that people know the date of the anniversary, or anything else at all. I cannot stress enough how difficult it is for newcomers to learn about Myst/Uru activities and to become acquainted with the community. There are so many posts on all of the many forums and websites that use acronyms and refer to established jargon that new users simply can not know when first arriving. Many new people sign up for Myst Online every day and try to participate, but turn away frustrated, never to return. It would be kind of Cavern veterans, especially those who are sincere in their desire to welcome new users, to be sensitive to this dilemma with understanding and sympathy, as I have often seen, rather than with the impatience, arrogance and exclusivity that I have encountered from some.
I first became aware of the Myst fan community over this past Christmas holiday. I am a great fan from the beginning days of the original Myst and I have always been eager to see Myst Online/Uru succeed. Being a busy professional, I have not been able to keep up with all of the Myst goings-on of the past several years. Until I was re-visiting the games with old friends in December, I did not know that Myst was Online at all. And now I have discovered it has been so for two years! Bravo!
I want to thank those people who are working so hard to re-invigorate the communitiy. The dedication of explorers like Nev'yn, the fellows over at OpenUru, those developers committed to creating useful tools and new 'Cyan-Quality' ages, along with the friendly visitors that I meet in the Cavern, have all been essential contributors to my own continuing enjoyment of Myst/Uru.
I hope to meet you all at the 'Anniversary'

This is just a thread for discussions, not an announcement, this is where we talk about the Ceremonies. If anyone involved in the discussions don't know the date they can ask.
But this discussion is not really supposed to be of any help for newcomers, the real announcement is on our calendar, and it was on the front page some days ago. This page is not really thought for someone else out of who is discussing here, it's like talking among ourselves for organizing the news and the Kimail we spread InCavern. All the details about the Ceremonies are elsewhere
@Leo: I didn't know where else to put this...But the Open/Closing Ceremony of the Anniversary Week is still showing up on the Upcoming Events on the main page. I tried taking a look at it, but couldn't figure out why. Can you fix it when you have time? Sorry for the bother!
The Opening/Closing Ceremony article (which is different than the article about the whole Anniversary) had the date set to "February 14th". I fixed it to 4th and 11th
