Hi Magister Leo.

How much water has passed under the bridge or how much water we will still have left in the future
is unknown to most of us.

Time is a very subjective mystery and only Zandi would be  able to tell !

Btw, I had many missing images in this thread due termination of my paid Photobucket account (only the small free version is left) but with "time", I will try to replace as many as I can dig from saved files.

re: Myst 4

A not very well known fact ????

I had to re-visit Myst 4 to be able to help a player and have discovered something new (for me).

Contrary to what I have been told in the past, I now believe that there are two elavators below the
arrival chamber in Spire.

The main elevator that goes down from the second level (below the arrival chamber) all the way down
to the lowest level of the spider chair. Note that on my first image, the floor of the elevator is triangular.
This is the elevator where the medaillon is found.

On the second image of #2 elevator, the floor is different (rectangular). This second elevator will only travel between
the first upper level of the spider chair and the level where we see a bassin with statuues of Atrus' family. (see image #3)

Yes Nanouk ^^ The square based elevator is the one you use all the time for moving around in Spire (usually you can use the tunnels instead of using it for going down, but are have to use it for going up), the triangle based elevator doesn't work until you finish the Age, it gets unlocked when you use the bomb in the laboratory

And if ever you take the elevator with the medaillon all the way up, it will stay locked, up there.

Easier, if ever you need to check the medaillon's colors later on.

From the Rime age in the RealMyst game ....

From the same Rime age, a small view of Riven on the "viewer" ...

Those crystals reminded me of Myst 4.  :P

I am showing this image after reading this post from the spoiler forum at the Mystonline site...

According to Myst and Riven illustrated, this would be one of Gehn's scribes, played by Tony Fryman escaping in a Riven maglev.

This image is one of me own screenshots.

A Drizzle shot from a side cell in the Gahreesen prison...

Had the D'ni found a way for preventing the Bahro from linking ?

Image of a Bahro squeletton impaled in a handrail !!! :(

While it does resemble a bahro's thorax in terms of size and shape, I don't think it's biologically possible to prevent bahro from linking. Except ... Oh my god ... They SKINNED that poor animal alive?!

Hi White,

My explanation for that image of an impaled Bahro is not canon/is pure speculation on my part.

Btw, there is a strong possibility that this image will be my last one on this site because I do not have access anymore to the image-server-user account.

(The above image comes from a previous old post)

A parallel to be made with another kind of "a least-humanoïd" type... (image tag bug/not working)

Feel free to use our file storage system (directory user92 is yours) to store your pictures.

We know that sacrificing the least was nothing unusual in the D'ni society, and I don't mean just bahro. Do you remember guildsman Efanis, Nanouk? While the Great Shaft was build, he died in an accident due to insufficient security measures. This afternoon, a very neat tunnel was finished in my country, after 17 years of work. But eight workers had died in the process. Nevertheless, everyone present was cheering and making happy speeches about achievements and international connectivity, completely forgetting about the ones who had been killed. I was reminded of Efanis. Do workers belong to the least?

I often think Yeesha is nuts. But she is right concerning the everlasting, omnipresent suppression. Perhaps we CAN learn something from her for real.

The file storage system is not working for me. I see this next message...

Please use your Relto book, it seems you have clicked a link to a private age.
In other words, you don't seem have the right permissions to access this page, sorry!

I saw the new tunnel in the news. Your polititians are as bad as ours.

You should see  how old people are treated over here.

They will only change their "diapers" when it reaches a certain level (weight). No wonder we are trying to get a new law to permit euthanasia.

I could tell you about a few sad stories like the one about my mother who died drowning of too much liquid in her lungs in a corridor in the emergency at a hospital, because doctors never came to check on her.

A lot a people on this planet seems to have D'ni "genes"

That's horrible! I mean, I heard that health care wasn't too well developed on the Northern American continent, but either those hospitals and rest homes are terribly understaffed, or the staff is terribly lazy. That's far from acceptable! Isn't that controlled/checked/sanctioned legally in your country? If not, I'd hand in an initiative if I were you.

I didn't mean to say our politicians are bad (most of them are doing a really good job, in fact), but humans tend to forget everything they don't like to think about. Every time a tunnel is built, people die, crushed by rocks, killed by dust in their lungs. Little can be done to prevent such deaths. But as soon as a tunnel is complete, nobody remembers the people who sacrificed their lives to it. In the article you posted the link to, you can see photographs of the victims in the lowest picture. And in front of them, worker Hubert Bär smiles towards the camera, holding a statuette of St. Barbara, who hasn't saved them.

Okay, there has been a moment of silence for them during the mass before the breakthrough. But right afterwards, the solid cavern wall collapsed, and there was nothing but cheers. I felt how the joy took possession of myself as well, and I felt like a traitor towards the dead miners.

How can we look at the ruins of D'ni without understanding that we are not in the least bit better? I'm starting to understand the speeches of White Knight and his Peasants. He's not too wrong, I guess. It does not matter what we achieve on a macroscopic basis, as long as we do wrongs in the fundaments that support them.

Humans are horrible creatures.

Access still denied. I am waiting for a feedback.

At this time, I feel like one of the "least".

the File Browser is accessible to Messengers only, that's why it gives you a 403 Error. That space is meant to be used for the Guild Projects, I'm sorry Nanouk, I hope you understand; we have roughly 60% of the space used, so I want to be careful on using it.

As far as I know, Uru is still not Open Source and as Leonardo said above I am not a messenger anymore.

Au revoir !

Aaron, the textures of URU/MOUL are copyrighted content. Posting them would be piracy, I guess.

Plus, I'm too lazy to search for that particular texture ^^. But If you were hoping to read the text: Sorry, but if I remember correctly, it's impossible.

@Leo: I really don't like to contradict you, but I don't remember Nanouk resigning/being expelled. Besides, as far as I know every picture he posts on the forums is copied into his storage folder anyway for caching. Please correct me if I'm wrong in either of these two points.

For the record: Nanouk actually did resign explicitly about in February in a PM to Andros/Kalypso, who was the personnel manager at the time, and who also updated the staff list appropriately. My fault, I didn't see that. I stress that this does not mean he cannot re-apply in case he feels able to resume his work.
