Gilde der Boten

The Guild of Messengers is proud of presenting the new rel.to Directory!

Ever since it changed owner, from Marten (we thank him very much for the idea and for maintaining it until september 2010) to Leonardo, we had wanted to make some changes to it. It took some time, mostly because of busy Real Lives, but it's finally out and shiny.

Ok, you won't find a completely renewed rel.to, since we liked the old graphics and we kept them. But its heart is all new, we trashed all its files and we rewrote it from scratch for working better.

You will find some new features there:

• You will finally have a real way to contact its maintainers directly, without having to register on the GoMe website. You can use the new contact form and we will try to reply as soon as possible to your questions.
• A statistics page. There you can see which rel.to entries are the most used and which ones have recently been updated.
• The search box finally has a language filter hidden under the "Advanced Options" button, instead of the ugly Language Selector in the Preferences.
• There are a lot of other new features for making rel.to's maintainance a lot easier, but those unfortunately are for admins only XD
• And last but not least, we have switched theme. Rel.to's default theme is not all grey and black, but you can still revert back to the old lilac style from the preferences.

Note: It has been moved from Saturday to Sunday

All Messengers or people interested are welcome.

An diesem Samstag wird die Gilde der Boten ein Treffen haben um über ihre Projekte und Aktivitäten zu sprechen und um das neue Ratsmitglied Luna(nne) zu begrüßen.

Das Treffen wird nicht in der Höhle stattfinden wie unsere bisherigen Treffen, sondern in unserem  IRC Kanal (netterweise angeboten von MystLore).

Neben anderen Sachen und der üblichen freundlichen Atmosphäre werden wir diese Themen besprechen:

• Go! Magazin: Entwicklung der 2. Ausgabe und Pläne für die Zukunft
• Geschichte der Gilde der Boten
• Dokument der Struktur der Gilde, herausarbeiten einiger Punkte angestoßen durch die momentane GOG Diskussion
• Höhlenausrufer: nutzen für Umfragen und rekrutieren

Das Treffen ist öffentlich und jeder ist eingeladen dabei zu sein und seine Vorschläge einzubringen (oder einfach aus Neugier teilzunehmen XD), außerdem ist es zu empfehlen teilzunehmen falls du daran interessiert bist einen Artikel zu schreiben, der in unserem Magazin erscheinen soll.

The Guild of Messengers has finally finished its elections process and it has a new Guild Council to guide the Guild!

After a quick discussion of some practical details, the election process started on January 17th with the Nomination Phase, where Messengers got nominated to be candidates to the real election. After 10 days the Messengers that were nominated were:

• White
• Lunanne
• Leonardo

And so the real elections could start. Each Messenger could vote for one of the three Candidates by sending an email to the Votes Collector, an external explorer not affiliated with the Guild of Messengers, who was Doobes.

Yesterday the elections period ended and today we had the final results of the election by Doobes:

The new two Guild Council Members are:

Lunanne(aka Luna) and Leonardo

And in particular we had:

11 Messengers voted in the election (a good percentage considering our list of active Messengers)

Leonardo: 6 votes - 55 %

Lunanne: 4 votes - 36 %

White: 1 vote - 9%

Die Gilde der Boten steckt gerade mitten in der Organisation ihrer Neuwahlen für den Gildenrat (sozusagen die Gildenmeister)!

Die Sache sollte im Ganzen etwa 20 Tage dauern, so dass im Februar ein neuer Gildenrat ernannt werden kann, entweder der bisherige oder ein anderer.

Die Notwendigkeit von Neuwahlen wurde zwar schon während des Gildentreffens im Dezember beschlossen, aber es dauerte etwa einen Monat, uns mit unseren Tochtergesellschaften abzusprechen.

Die Wahl beginnt in wenigen Tagen, wir halten euch auf dem Laufenden!
