I have been working with a team of Blender artists for a year and a half now, remaking Riven (The sequel to Myst) in BGE. We were originally using a different engine with a Blender plugin, but are now in the process of making the jump to 100% Blender. However, we have so far only made rudimentary exploration demos, with a few clickable, animated objects. All logic bricks so far.

As anybody who has played a Myst game before knows, we have a lot of puzzle development in our future. We're looking for people who know their way around the BGE API who are willing to help us out in our endeavors.

Know the game Riven and it's glorious musical and sound wonders? Think you know the sound effects well enough to recognize them by ear? Well test your skills at the 1st Riven Sound Effects Game Show! This Saturday come on down to the Eastern Time Zone Bevin for fun and games and to hear a little bit of the masterpeice that was Riven.

We'll be looking for three contestants to give this a shot. The game will be run similar to the show Jeopardy.

As a note, due to the unreliability of in game Voice Chat, we are going to be playing the sounds over Teamspeak 3. Details about configuring that can be found at the More Info link provided.

Update: We are planning an audience participation portion to the game. Audience members can PM their answers to me, and they will go into a log. After the game I will review the answers to see who got the most correct. Answers must be submitted before a contestant answers correctly for them to count. Sadly, I do not have the funds to get physical prizes, so the prize is bragging rights for now.

Every Saturday and Sunday, everyone who is willing to solve Eder Tsogal, or Eder Delin puzzle, can meet with other explorers also willing to do so at Takotah Alley.
The gathering will start at 11:00 KI time.
